Thank ya'll so much for Sugar's HOTD!!! I was so surprised when I saw her in the HOTD window!! Not much is going on today. Just relaxing and waiting for time to pass. Being on HC sure helps. Thank ya'll so much for putting up and understanding my horse craziness. :) How are you doing? Have you got any horse time in?
To continue my story of Sugar. I saw the pictures of Sugar and I instantly fell in love with her. A few days later I went to test ride her. She behaved like an angel and was a great mount for my beginner skills. A week or two later Sugar came to her new home. It was a dream come true for me. She stayed in a lil shed by the place we were staying at and I had to lead her everyday to the pasture that she could graze in. I'll put more up tomorrow.

We got some more snow today,but no accumulation so it didn't last long. It is suppose to be like that for the next few days. I had a Writing&Grammer test today and I got a 95% which is an A!! Also yesterday I turned in my writing assignment and I got a B on it!! That is really good cuz my writing assignments haven't been the best lately. Well our winter weather came last night and all we got was rain. That is good...I'm not complaining. :) Today I started up my Omnibus (history,theology,and literature all in one) class. It is warmer today which is nice. The snow is melting some but then it gets below freezing at night so it'll probably all ice over. Not much going on. Just trying to kill time cuz I'm so bored. lol Next weekend (I think) we are gonna celebrate Noah's birthday and then the weekend after that we are going home for a visit!! I can't wait. I'm going stircrazy. Today is the last day for the next week that I will be able to leave normal daily blogs and votes for a few days. My oldest son is visiting from Kabul. We pick him up at the airport Sunday!!! Today is his 31st birthday! We will be out cramming all we can into a few days. I will not have much computer time. I will try to vote contest each day and I will try to help with the newsletter on Thursday.

Well we got some winter weather. It started sleeting around 10:30 this morning and around 11:15 it turned over to snow and has been ever since. If I was home I'd hate cuz chores are hard to do in the snow. Since I'm here in the apartment I don't have much to do, so I'm kinda enjoying it. lol I was wanting to ask if ya'll could vote for Elva. Not much going on today. I took my last biology test today and got a 93% on it!! So excited!! We're supposed to get a winter weather storm tomorrow. Supposed to get 1-4 inches of snow,ice,and sleet. good morning everyone :)
i first off just want to say thank you to everyone for zig's HOTD win on saturday! it was a huge surprise to see him in the spotlight again and kind of ironic because he also got HOTD last february on valentines day :) so that's two HOTD wins in the same month only a few days apart over one year hahah wierd right?! lol but thank you!
I actually did get to ride yesterday which was nice even though it was only 27 degrees outside with a big windchill hahah horse people are crazy if i must say ;) it was a rough start but by the end of the lesson, we nailed the course and my trainer said that my form and ability to handle zig has improved tremendously over the past year! and that's another thing, i've now been riding ziggy for a year and i can't believe how far we've come and how fast it's gone by! i wouldn't be anywhere without him and my wonderful trainer <3 back to my lesson: we only did two jumps in the form of a right circle on the right lead. we jumped the wooden vertical and then circled immediately to the right along the fence and then took a sharp right turn to the white cross rail and repeat. he was super collected the entire time and i felt like we were snailing along but my trainer said that we were almost at a hand gallop haha! (which is funny because when i first started riding it felt like we were FLYING even though we were only barely crawling along!) he kept getting really fast and heavy after the wooden vertical and i had to really use my seat and get my heels down to help slow him down. one time he was pretty strong and i was kind of in a forward-slightly-out-of-the-saddle position and when i asked him to slow he kind of bounced which knocked me off balance and then he shot forward again and i fell off over the side. i did like a forward/sideways roll and i rolled on my neck funny so it's pretty sore today but other than that im fine and of course zig did what he always did and just stood there and stared at me like "what are you doing down there?" hahah but the upside is that my thighs don't hurt like they usually do when jess makes me do my stirrupsless two-point laps! which is nice haha anyways sorry for the long blog but here's a vote and thank you for the HOTD win!

Jackson Has moved back to New York. so I am single again!
I was talking to my friend that is a boy. That he was a can't say on here...... Yes I rode BLAZZE on the training the colts! They have this BIG paddock with colt/fillies in it! They put halters on them gelded some colts and sold some fillies( I can't Belive they do that every year!) But I think I found the right man to date but he lives in upper Ohio now so... I have to drive up there or call him cause He wants a to buy a horse from me!

A few months ago I began a part time job. Well, that is more like full time now. As you have noticed my irregularity on HC, I am pressed for time and energy. Lately, I have fallen asleep at the computer and I don't know how I have not fallen out of this chair. LOL! When I am mentally and physically able, I will leave a vote for each of your profile pages. After church today Young Cowboy and I finally enjoyed HorseTime! Most of my time was taken removing mudd from horses, but I enjoyed every minute! Finally to ride! I did not ride Saturday with friends because I had not ridden in weeks and I do not like to take Fancy out when I have not worked with her.
Young Cowboy is very excited for his 12th birthday tomorrow!
The changes to HC are very nice. I am happy to see it does not look like we have lost any friends here.

Did you partake in any horse event during this first few days of 2013? It has been a bit muddy in our yard, so we have not :(
I enjoyed the rains, and the quiet times that came with it. The days might be a little cool to me, but we are finally expecting to see dry, sunny days again! The weekend is even expecting to warm up in the low 50's! That means we will have a chance of riding ☀

Into the new year with a vote ♥
COWBOY & TRIGGER, the Young Prince & King of January: I called Cowboy into the room and told him to read the computer screen. He read it and he said smiled. I asked him if he knew what it meant. He said Trigger won HOTD. I told him no, read it again. He asked me what is HOTM. I explained to him that means Horse Of the Month. He was very excited as he told me in his own 11 year old words that HOTM was a great surprise in addition to his birthday being Monday! Trigger was his usual calm ole self, just mellow and go lucky, and trying to get along with miss Bossy Pants, Fancy. Cowboy and Trigger send thanks for voting them Jan HOTM. I could not figure out who left their landmark votes. Any way we thank each of you for every vote!

Good Morning! How has your week been? I am back on normal schedule until New Years. Along with cold temps, much needed rains have finally returned to North Carolina. We had quite a few days of rain and are expecting more throughout the upcoming week. We need some snow at our house this year! I know some areas are covered with snow! If snow is at your house, please be careful as you go about your daily activities. Today is a sunny day, but I was hoping to get some much needed horsey time. What a glorious time of year! Sorry we have been so busy. Now I can tell you about our Christmas holiday. It was filled with Christmas play practice, eating, shopping, & cooking. The usual things :) The only fun horsey time we have enjoyed has been running out the back door to feed them quick snacks through each day. That has really helped Trigger to stop running away from me. LOL. This was my first Christmas attending our candle light service. I enjoyed that and plan to make it part of my future Christmas traditions. Christmas dinner was the best ever! My sister helped my mom cook! I helped do little things like prep and put stuff in place, etc. Christmas night, we drove to a nearby town to see the light show. They have made several improvements and it was the best light show yet.
We look forward to reading about your 2012 Christmas. As we visit your pages, we enjoy all the Christmas photos and holiday avatars. I hope you enjoyed some horsey time somewhere along the way.
