I am from Portage, MI and I've been a Club Horse member for 2 years and 2 months

Nicknames:

Age: 9 years old

Gender: Mare

Breed: Belgian

Height: 16.3 hands (I think) I know she's at least 16 and not 17, but I can't remember.

Color: Chestnut with salt and pepper mane and tail

Type of Riding: Trail riding mostly. I hope to get some cross-country in, but only in the actual country, we don't show.

My Horse's Achievements: She's pretty much gotten over the abuse she went through as a pmu mare and now acts almost like nothing bad ever happened to her. I'm very proud of her for that.

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Apples and carrots and "cookies" (apple oat treats)

My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Play tag, especially if the weather is rainy and the ground is muddy. She also likes to splash in puddles and tear down the track at break-neck speed so that you're afraid she'll either run into the fence or jump it. :)

Pet Peeves: Being cut off from free choice anything, not being able to reach her cookies or any other treats, baths, when my sister and mom go riding without me.

How We Met

I took lessons with my sister as something new to do and to get some exercise in. She was a rescued PMU mare and I fell in love with her at first sight. I had to wear her down. :) She became my lesson horse and when it came time for her owner at the time to sell her (he got a new gelding who came to the gate in greeting and she wouldn't be caught unless she got cornered) I told my instructor that I would do anything and everything if I could set up a payment plan or something to get her. The gentleman met me for about 5 minutes the next day, I didn't mention Ruby, but when he spoke to my instructor she told him I was the one who wanted Ruby. He said he liked me and wanted me to have her. He gifted her to me. The following day I signed the adoption papers and she was mine! I love the big gal and our time together has formed a bond that I was afraid would never come to be. She's my baby... my 1500 pound baby. :).

OMG day 23 already only 8 days left for the HOTM runners to get there votes in so please vote for us all!! Well my music festival on the flute today went great!! I did 2 solo's and got 1 place in both and a duet with my sister and got first in that today!! Great Sucsess!! Thanks for all the blogs and votes!! Thanks!!
