How We Met

I was lucky enough to see him go thru a sale barn. He was tied up on a 2' lead for atleast 14 hours (that I know of) with no food or water. They rode him bareback thru the sale, but I knew he wasn't broke. He was scared something terrible, as were most horses/mules going thru the sale. Horse auctions are awful. But, if I didn't go, I wouldn't have him. We got home around midnight, gave him food & water. The next week I called the owner listed on the coggins test & he said his name was "Dandy", but he had sold him at an auction (9 hours away from where I got him), 3 months prior. He had him since birth & still has his mammoth jack sire. His dam is a Missori fox trotter. He said Dandy wasn't broke, but all of his mules were gentle. No telling what he went thru the last 3 months, probably auction to auction, traveling. He was really underweight when I got him. But he's on the road to recovery! He appears to be extremely gated, beautiful strides. Can't wait to ride him!.

Hey, i finally got a chance to get on the computer. It's finally starting to warm up down here. I don't know about where you live but in texas all of the students of the state are required to take this test, and juniors have to take the exit level to pass on to be a senior. i'm a sophmore and i just had to three test, and 2morrow is my last test. After high school i''d like to attend West Texas in Canyon, and i'd liket to do train and run my own horse buisness, and even have a camp for troubled teens. well hope that you're having fun taking care of those animals of your nieghbors.

hey, i dont' know what happen, i've been trying to leave you and other people a blog, but for some reason it wouldn't leave a message, kinda weird. Any ways, it snowed really bad down here friday, and it was crazy, i couldn't believe it! So my dad and i had to go check on his cattle, and when we got up there this heifer just droped her second calf, and he didn't look so good. she had him out of the wind, but in a mud puddle, he was so cold and tiny, i just wanted to cry, but my dad gave him a shot and now he's bucking and playing with the other baby calve, i'll have to send you pic of him, he is so cute! have fun taking care of your neighbors cattle, my dad has only about 50 head of cows, but he works for a guy that has about 2,000 head of feeder steers, and i'm not kidding. i've only got two chickens and they stay with goats, we use to have 7 chickens and a duck, but something got them and we just have the two chickens. the snow has finally melted and it's starting to warm up again, so maybe spring has finally arrived, well talk to you laters.

Come visit me, Trigger, RIP Festus & Question Mark R.I.P..
