My Horse's Achievements: We show a lot but I mostly show Dewy now because of Dunkin's arthritis.

PLEASE VOTE FOR PASSION ON MAY 22ND!
I was 10 years old when I met Passion and at the time I didn't REALLY know him. In fact, I almost despised him. Until one day, I was told to ride him. I was disappointed at first, been when he looked into my eyes and his ears shot forward and his expression full of love, I melted. Why hadn't I realized it before? Passion and I are meant for each other. After just a week of riding him, he became known as "Rach's Baby" around the farm. I now look at him as my soul mate, not scornfully. After a few months, we participated in a mock show in English Eq/Pleasure. We placed 3rd in Equitation and 6th in Pleasure. Two months later, we competed in a real horse show in the same disciplines and placed 1st in Eq and 2nd in Pleasure. All this time since September 2009, I've loved him and ALWAYS will. Three months after our huge accomplishments, I leased him for two months. In the middle of August one day, I was riding him. I felt his legs move in a wrong angle and I got of then and there. If I hadn't done this, he would've continued on in pain for me. He would've kewp going until he dropped. As I led him out of the arena I heard someone call after me, "He really tried for you." I walked him up to the barn, just about in tears. The barn manager rushed out and asked what was wrong. I told her he was limping. Limping so, so bad. She assured me it wasn't my fault at all and that I should not blame myself. He had gotten in a fight with Susie the night before. For eight months- EIGHT MONTHS- he had an abscess in his hoof. Then one day, out of the blue, he healed and I rode him. I rode him for the next three weeks in much caution. After that, we were back to ourselves. We were a team again! (Oh! Did I not mention that when Passion's sad so am I, and when he's happy, I am too?)
One day, his owner and the barn owner came down to see him be ridden. This was only two weeks after he healed. He was great! When the lesson was done, I walked him up. The barn owner suggested that I show him in a month. I wanted to reject, knowing- KNOWING- it would be pushing but instead just nodded. When I let him loose, I wanted to cry I was so happy! Four weeks later, I cantered him. He hadn't cantered in TWO YEARS! And I had been the one to do it, because everyone knew (and knows) when it came to Passion, it was Rachel's (My) business. This was a HUGE improvement! A few months before this (I cantered him on May 7, 2011), my Memere passed away who I loved VERY VERY VERY ETERNALLY much, and this is when my family fell apart. No one could be strong for me, No one could comfort me. No one could make me feel happy or make me laugh. No could tell me, "Hey, you know what Rachel? No matter what-NO MATTER WHAT-, everything is going to be okay. No one could, but Passion. He has been true to me for so very long and has become the only one I can run to. He is my best friend, my soul mate. PLEASE VOTE FOR HIM ON MAY 22ND! HE REALLY DESERVES IT!

People who come to the barn always ask me if I call him dunkin donuts. I only call him that when I'm angry or he won't come from the feild when I say dunkin. :)
