happy friday! it's pay day for us so we bought 350 ft of hose to add to the 300 ft we already have! now we're watering out almost to the end of the 2 acre pasture in hopes of saving our grass. we're on a well, not city water so there's no limit to our water use. praying for rain! hi morgan joe! i rode sing today for the first time in weeks! it's so hot! i just walked and practiced reinbacks and turns on haunches in the covered to stay out of the sun. i trimmed up her mane and hosed her off. how was yoour day? Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

our drought is terrrible, too! i drag 4 100 ft hoses around my pasture to water different areas. i keep my horses in the arena to protect the grass, too. the good thing about horses is that they remember! so whatever training they have already had will be there after a break. i went to a clinic with bruce davidson once. he starts his 2 year olds, then turns them out for a year to grow more. he says that as long as they've been backed and made to do something they don't want to, then they'll remember when you get on next time. he made them go over a rail road tie to test their obedience. :) Come visit me, Sing & Herd.
