Hello!! I am back from the show!!! How are you?? I am am great and we did great!!! Later this week i will upload some pictures from it!!!! We did pretty good and won lots of ribbons!!! Well we also had riding today and it went very well!!! We had a lot of fun!!!! I was really busy the last few days unpacking and luckily the weather was nice!!!! Well hope all is well!! HI Sailn To Hollywood
Hi! Leaving a very quick vote, thank you so much for your visits!! ~ I had a nice birthday. I brought my best friend to frozen yogurt, a movie (Zookeeper), and to Red Robin for dinner. Then on Saturday, I went to the Oregon Zoo with her parents, then went to the mall..in high heels (they weren't even an inch)..and got blisters, SOL! I will post some pics of the Oregon Zoo to show you, they will be at the bottom of Quincy's page. I went to a bird show too, the birds actually fly over the crowds heads, it sounded rad. There was a Red Tailed Hawk, a Hooded Vulture, a Golden Eagle, a Eurasian Eagle Owl, a Harris Hawk, and a Bald Eagle. Pretty awesome. I got a nice acoustic guitar from my parents, it sounds so cool :) How have you been? Thank you so much for stopping by while I was offline. It means so much! I hope you have a nice Sunday!! Enjoy... happy saturday! headed out to Mentor today for my uncles birthday. it should be fun! its been extremely hot these past few days...marching band is every day from now until school instead of just three times a week. Hi Pita, here's a vote for ya. And how's that leg coming along? Do you know yet if he bowed that tendon? Is he putting any weight on that leg at all now?
I got lucky and my farrier showed up that night to replace the show. Of course I couldn't ride and train on him that day. He'll do anything to get out of work. LOL.
Couldn't get the boys out again tonight. It was 91 when I got home and very humid. Flies were at there best and many of them. So they stayed in and in front of their fans. happy wednesday!sorry i havent been on in a few days...pretty busy. Marching band is tough but rewarding...lots of long hours in the sun! that's for sure! today is 92* and tomorrow's high is 97*! i hope we'll practice the music inside! mom's looking at a new horse for me to show for 4H, and we came across a 15.1 hand black and white paint gelding named Kota. he looks like exaclty like Lakota (except for differently placed markings)its scary!!! we emailed the owner and waiting for her to email back. all we are waiting for now is the right price and i believe he's ours! so we'll have a Lakota and a Kota! yeah! im excited! leaving votes!hope you are having a great time in training :) love to see some pix when you get back!Come visit me, Lakota-LET ME KNOW OCTOBER HOTM RUNNERS!!!!, RJL Sunny Brooke's Rebecca, Spot & SALE POSSIBILITIES-UPDATE- D-SEE LAST COMMENT BELOW!.

We had a dust storm blow in from the east side of Phoenix today. We got the tail end of it and none of the rain. Austin and I were out in the corral with the girls. Wind spooks them. We were covered in sand and dirt. Temperatures have been around 108*. Some humidity. Want to ride but not in this heat. Hugs and a Monday vote. Hey!! I am back from the show!! It went great!! We did allot of English Flat Classes, some western, showmanship and a jumping class!!! It was allot of fun and did very well!!! We also had riding tonight and just did some equation and bareback riding!!Not too much because it was hot outside!! Check out my new pictures from the show!!! How was your weekend?? HI everyone! I have been very busy with my bird on BC. BTW: Thank you SO much for everyone who went over there to vote. It really means a lot. You are amazing to me, just so you know :) How are you? Today I am going with my mom (she got a new job) to her work for the first time. This is not normal just so you know, since I homeschool my mom has to be at home, so its also new to her. ~ My birthday is in 4 days (July 22 :D), and I told my dad to give me 2 hints about what my present is, so I can try to guess it this week and see if I was close. He said "You can fit an orange inside of it, and its medium sized" hmmm, well I have been wanting a guitar/ukulele. Anyways, I hope that you are doing well. I have missed you so much. I will be thinking of you today, love ya!

Hi Pita, here's a big vote with lots of get well wishes for you. I'll be praying that everythings going to be okay. I hope that he didn't bow it. It sounds like wire to me too! He must have went down and was thrashing to beat himself. Poor boy!
I wanted to ride Indy this morning, but when I was lungeing him, he went to running and bucking cause one of the giant horseflies was on his rump. Yanked a front shoe right off. So much for a training session. Oh well, some horses will do anything to get out of work! LOL. But I did get the farrier here tonight and the shoes back on all ready. Had the boys out then for pasture time. Nice night, little warm and some flies, but not all that bad. Love ya, Marion and the boys.Come visit me, Nuttin But Good. That is aweful, i hope he will heal up quickly and without any complications. Are you sure another horse didn't fight him and cause him to run into that? I hope he will be allright. He is beautiful.
We are on our way back into the high temps. I rode Fancy around the neighborhood a few times accompanied by my son on his bicycle. He hasn't ridden Fancy for quite a few days because I am adjusting her to a new bit. It is a mild curb I bought last week. My son is more comfy with the curb bit. He had never used a snaffle until the first time he rode Fancy solo. He had trouble with the snaffle bit and he didn't like it. Fancy is very good with both bits but somehow I like the snaffle a little bit better until she fully understands the curb. I was surprised at how well she was today though.
IF you have experience transitioning a horsey pal from a snaffle to a curb, please share with me. You never know. Something you know could really help. This is my first time making this adjustment. The last horse I trained, I tried starting in the snaffle and he wouldn't take it in his mouth after the first day. So I tired a curb and he took it just fine every time, and we took our time and worked it out all the way. So I never had to make the adjustment. Fancy just goes with anything if I take my time and let her do her thing. Hope she stays that way. LOL
