How We Met

I got her April 24, 2011, as a Easter gift from my riding instructor/my barn mom. She had a filly, but she is now weaned. The filly is my barn sister's. I don't really care if the filly isn't mine, I just wanted Daisy! At 8:00 am on Saturday, the day before Easter, is when my barn mom called my reality mom. Then my barn mom said "Daisy is now McKenzie's."
"Why?" is all my mom said, stunned, while she choked back tears.
"Because McKenzie and Daisy have a unexplainable bond, something that is meant to be, and to stay." my barn mom said as she was now crying.
"Why?" is all my mom said again, now crying.
"Because your daughter has a very special place in my heart." and with that Daisy became mine, my dream came true, God came through with all of my praying.

It was a very emotional time when I went to the barn at around 5:00 pm on Easter to go on a trail ride on my other horse, Zips Bomb (I actually got to ride Fury). When I got into the barn I saw Daisy's stall had 2 balloons, a little bunny with a basket, and a card that said 'Happy Easter Kenzie' on it. Then I started shaking with my eyes wide 'Was this really happening? Is she mine?' I keep saying in my mind. I looked in and saw Daisy with a new turquoise (my fave color) halter and turquoise and maroon lead rope on! "Shes yours now." I heard my barn mom say. I just looked at her with eyes filling with tears and I looked back at Daisy, my new pony. Our story is one of true bond. I got her not because of asking for her but building a undeniable bond. :).
