King Kong was very bad yesterday. King did not want to listen to my brother and my brother's friend wanted to help, so he got on King. While my brother's friend was riding King the horse reared and they fell back. He is ok, only suffered whiplash and soreness. We don't know what got into King. When he reared, there was no bit pressure at all. So he could have moved in any direction and he chose up :(
Fancy was very good. My son has ridden her. He has gotten bored riding in the corral, so we walk around the block and through the car wash. My son loves to ride her. He would like me to turn him lose. But I don't think Fancy or my son are ready for that. Because she is still very young and I know my son does not have experience in case something did frighten her. But so far she has been so wonderful on his rides out. I don't take that for granted and I pray that she remains steady.

We went into town Wednesday and stopped by Ace Hardware. I priced dewormers and Senior feed for Star. Rick's stopping by this morning to pick it up for me. Yay! QUESTION: Do you deworm a horse on an empty stomach? I was told dewormer doesn't work if a horse is full or eating. Thanks. Hugs and a Thursday vote. Hi Skiff, here's a vote for ya. Sure you can list him as half paint and half thoroughbred. No problem with that line of breeding and listing him like that. He really is a nice looking paint stud. He seems really calm too, that's great. Sorry I missed everyone last night. I had to go and pick up my new show western hat and have it shaped to my face. Didn't get there until 9PM and then got home by 10:30pm. Just went to bed. Spent today packing up the trailer for our 5 day trip for the quarter horse show. So we won't be on for a while. I had a great jumping session on Prince this evening. With Eddie as his anchor he is getting more and more confident. We're now up to 2 feet. I wonder how high he'll go?

Had a good morning. A horse trainer friend came out with 2 bales of hay he sold me for $5 each. He liked Sadie. Had his own saddle with him and used it to ride her. He said she's a good horse which makes me happy and liked my saddle. Didn't like the bridle, tho'. She was so good for him.... I let Sadie and Star out of the corral. The first time since before my trip. They're enjoying the freedom...Buying dewormer Thursday and psyllium pellets next week. Hugs and a late Monday vote. When you say he's a thoroughbred, do you mean his breeding is from race horses? But was his mother a paint horse maybe? He is very beautiful, but he's really what we call a paint horse.
