How We Met

Wanted a horse since I was 2, never able to fulfill that dream until 3 years ago and 44 years old. Seen him at an auction and fell in love with him. He had bad trust issues and had whip marks all over him. He would follow you around like a puppy but when saddled up he was a totally different horse. He also did not like his hooves messed with, especially back, he would kick and when farrier came to trim he broke the farriers toes. With work, he has learned to trust and although he has issues, he is eager to please and is getting better everyday. Loves trail riding and now my farrier loves him and says he has changed since he first met him and my neighbor who has 3 horses of her own made me swear, if I ever entertained a thought of giving him up,(which I won't but promised if anything happens to me he will go to her) she wants to be the first to know because she wants him because he is a very good horse. I worked with him for a year before he allowed me mount and a little after that to venture out before he felt at ease going out, and loves riding with my neighbors thouroughbred jj. They have been best buddies since day 1 and get along just great. Whiskey will cross bridges with no problem and jj who has a hard time crossing will follow his lead. His picture does him no ju
