Lizzy is back in reconditioning. Her feet are great, she gained weight and is really dark from wearing her blanket through the winter. Its warming up and ive taken lizzy out on a few fun trails and onto the track a few times for a gallop. Shes jumping better than ever. Come visit me, Three Left Hooves [Lizzy] & Davinias Sunshine.

It is in the middle of winter now, but nothing is stopping us from riding on our usual rides. The other dya we rode on the trails to a racetrack and i let lizzy gallop a few spirited bucks out of her after making sure the footing was okay. Then we rode back to our arena and worked on our jumping over a few little warm up crossrails. My positioning could use more work but lizzy is as amazing as ever. Then we did our favorie, bareback jumping and flatwork. My lizzy yet again ceases to amaze me. Come visit me, Three Left Hooves [Lizzy] & Davinias Sunshine.

She so doesn't look 19. I used to ride a 26-year-old dun Connemora (I can never remember how to spell that - even when its the Horse Illustrated Breed of the Month) named Upsa Daisy. She's the only horse I've ever jumped. And will probably be the last horse I ever jump. I was not a fan of jumping. I did small cross rails, and I never got it right. My cousin, who was teaching me, told me to just stay in the two-point while we trotted, and then when we were just about to reach it to post until we lifted off. It was a rush of adrenaline, but jumping is just not my thing. I would like to show Western pleasure at least once in my life, but that's it. Anyways, what I was getting at was, that Daisy might have been 26, but she acted like a 10-year-old, just like Lizzy. By the way, I love her registered name. That is adorable! Bye! Come visit me, Casper, Ginger & Lorelai Valentine.

YAY me and lizzy are jumping 2'4 verticle now! shes doing awesome! we went down to the racetrack and she loved it! i didnt let her fully out because the track was muddy and she wasnt digging in as well as i would have liked her to! but we went about 1/4 or so mile and called it quits! because it IS her first time on the track!Come visit me, Three Left Hooves [Lizzy] & Davinias Sunshine.

Thanks You're so sweet. Your comment about Ginger made my day. I recently haltered her. Yay! That was so exciting. I'm sorry you didn't get to keep Vini. Hans, by the way, is gorgeous. I have such a soft spot for draft horses. I used to have a dun Percheron/Clydesdale. We named him Spudweiser; since he was only half Clydesdale we couldn't call him Budweiser. Lizzy is gorgeous. I can't believe she was free. Well, thanks for the blog!Come visit me, Casper, Ginger & Lorelai Valentine.

Yesterday Me and lizzy rode yesterday and i cantered her around for a while western. she kept changing her leads likea dressage horse. She got tired on the cones so she decided to run them over :P lol. And i set up some cavaletti and she decided to jump them. not over each over all at once. it was like atleast 5ft. i was shocked and i stayed deep in the saddle pretty well for being caught off guard. LOL then i got on her bareback and we rode around at first she wouldnt let me mount from the fence. so i decided to try the mounting block. ( mountingblock= 2 step and only a foot tall. lizzy= 16hh!) but i got ono first try and she headeed off and did very well! i was very proud of her. tomorrow i will see if i can jump her over some small jumps.Come visit me, Three Left Hooves [Lizzy] & Davinias Sunshine.
