Thanks for checking out Pippin's video. I'm glad you liked it so much. I'm happy that Cimmy let you ride him. That sounds really promising. Are you going to break him yourself? I'm also happy that both your horses are now behaving themselves and not destroying their pens. Well, take care and here's another vote for Cimmy.Come visit me, Prince (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl.), Pippin (Tiny is forever in our hearts) & Eddie (Our BIG boy!).

First Time Bare Back Riding! I got on Cimmy for the first time on Wednesday! I have never put weight on him and I slowly put it on and then got on! He was awsome! He didn't mind at all. He just stood there as if I was on the ground petting him. Man I love his gentle spirit! I even had someone walk him around with me on his back. It was like he didn't even notice that he had me on his back! He will make a great trail horse. I am still working on commands but he is learning fast! ~ Mustanglover99Come visit me, Cimarron, Mocha, Spirits Last Hope R.I.P. & Lena`s Destiny.

Have you had any luck with Cimarron? I hope you're doing fine and taking advantage of the summer to get lots of riding in. I just put a video of Pippin on YouTube. I would love you to go and see it. It's a tribute to Shadowfax from the Lord of the Rings. Cimarron sounds like a fiesty fellow. I'll tell you what I can about his problems and maybe they'll help. He is most likely bored which is why he is tearing his pen to pieces. If you don't have time to work with him more and give him challenges perhaps you could buy him one of those wiggly horse balls to play with during the day. Pippin has one that squeals when he moves it and he loves it. You could also give him plastic buckets and other stuff like that to toss around. There is also a supplement that can be added to his diet that should prevent him from eating wood. I don't know if that's his problem but it might be worth a try. They come in pellet form and he'll probably like them. You mentioned that he's intelligent so that would add to his boredom. He wants something to exercise his brain. Pippin does really well when he's got lots of work to do in training and when he has company. Is Cimarron in his own pen or does he share with the others? If you are planning to train Cimarron yourself it would be a good time to start now. That would give him something to think about other than destruction. I hope that this helps. Here's a vote for you. Come visit me, Prince (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl.), Pippin (Tiny is forever in our hearts) & Eddie (Our BIG boy!).

Thanks for writing back. I'm going to go check out the site you gave me. Do you do Parelli, or are you just a part of that particular thing? I've been talking with someone on HorseChannel who does it with one of her horses and she says its really worth it. Casper has his minor problems that I would like to fix, and if I really like the program I'd like to go through Level 3. They say that when you complete Level 3, you are ready to start a colt using Parelli methods. I just want to be ready to start a colt! I'm one of the many, many horse owners who dreams of having a little foal running around the field one day. Might have to just settle for my backup plan of having a little miniature foal running around the field. You don't have to start them! Plus the only mare I have is Ginger, and, well, that so would not be good. Good that you've been working with Cimmy. I can't get over how cute he is. Oh, and the blog below reminded me that I wanted to ask about some problems on Casper and Ginger's pages too. As for what Cimmy and Mocha are doing, that is weird. We used to have a mini that would chew on Ginger's tail, but he never did that. If I think of anything, I'll write back. Now, I'm going to and write a "Problems" blog for Ginger and Casper. They've been eating bark. If you know anything about that, write me. Thanks Come visit me, Casper, Ginger & Lorelai Valentine.

Problems.. I am having some problems with Cimmy and Mocha. I don't know what to do with them, b/c they have never done this before. Every time I go out there to feed them or work with them or give them attention I find a new thing. Cimmy keeps breaking boards in his corral during the day. I don't know how but he is and he keeps trying to pull them out. And Mocha keeps pulling everything she can get her mouth on into the corral. she sticks her head through the big gate and pulls things in. she pulls things in that gets blown close to them, most of it is dead weeds, some is paper from my neighbor and plastic bags (from my neighbor too! arrgg). My neighbor does not keep her property very well clean at all! I've tried to talk to her but there is nothing I can do to make her stop. I have tried lots of stuff. If you can help me I would be most great full. Thanks! - mustanglover99Come visit me, Cimarron, Mocha, Spirits Last Hope R.I.P. & Lena`s Destiny.

Cimmy Haven't talked to you in a while. How is Cimmy? When will you start him? He is so cute. I love the picture of him laying down. I just put up pictures of my gelding Casper. I looked up the BLM a few days ago. They sometimes give out horses on the east coast. I live in Tennessee, so I couldn't just go to an auction. I'm planning to visit Wyoming someday, and when I do, I want to go to a BLM auction when I do. But I've told myself that I won't plan my entire trip around a BLM auction. "You don't need another horse, Melody, not another!" Plus it might be a little difficult getting home. Oh well. Good luck with Cimmy!Come visit me, Casper, Ginger & Lorelai Valentine.

Me again! Thanks for replying back. I'm glad you have the patience to take your time with her. I'm having to do that with my mare Ginger, who is 8 years old. She was trained once, but things didn't go so well after that. So now she's not even halter broke, but we're getting closer to the day when she will be. I actually got a halter on her the other day!Come visit me, Casper, Ginger & Lorelai Valentine.

Cimmy Cimmy is so awesome! I've always wondered about Mustangs, and I've always wanted one. But I don't think it's right to just "give it a go". It's good that you're serious about him. He deserves it. All horses deserve it. How difficult are BLM mustangs, honestly? I've always wondered.Come visit me, Casper, Ginger & Lorelai Valentine.

Wow Cimmy is beautiful. I actually want to adopt a wild mustang one day from the BLM. I guess your on the same boat as me with starting him! Zephyr isn't ridable yet either. But he is gonna take a wee bit more patients. Thanks for the name its great! I thik I'm gonna talk to her previous owner about what I should call her. Oh and I had another question about your pony Mocha. Does he have a mineral lick? My horse Cowboy wasn't really shedding out either but scince I got him one of those he has his summer hair. That might not be it but give it a thought anyway. Come visit me, Cowboy & Zephyr.

Response about my Mustang's comment Yes she was born in the wild. In the picture at the bottom of the page, she is the second horse. She lived in the wild for quite awile in a smaller herd. The stallion was younger, and inexperienced. So when a cougar came along he wasn't sure how to handle it. It got a mare, and my new horses old foal. So the wildlife managment took the herd in, and adopted them out. She was eventually pronounced inadoptable, for no one would buy her because of how wild she was, and was to be slaughtered, but my father and I decided to take her in and give her a shot. I just hope it all works out. We have trained horses before, but none like this!Come visit me, Rossdover Silver Downs & Magic.

Smart and Sweet! Cimmaron is one smart horse. I love him so much and everything about him. He will make a great trail horse! Cimmy is also fast at learning, he knows that he should never bite. He never has either and I like that. Cimmy has no tickle spot either. I have to go getting late. I will post more on Friday.Come visit me, Cimarron, Mocha, Spirits Last Hope R.I.P. & Lena`s Destiny.
