My Horse's Achievements: Patches was my very own first horse. She accomplished a lot in her short lifetime. She was amazing to ride bareback and run poles and barrels on. she will always have a special place in my heart.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: She used to love eating nerds, cookies, and pancakes.
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Patches loved trail riding and running the poles. She also used to like being ridden in the snow.
Pet Peeves: She didn't like being caught. She used to run around in our pasture all the time.

I was around nine when I found an ad in the paper and I talked my parents into going and looking at her. i remember when I first saw her. I thought she was the most amazing thing on earth..

LAST DAY TO VOTE, PLEASE
So, sometime things go great, and other times, not so much!! First Carole called to see if Zack could come for class at 4:30 instead of 6:00, I said sure, but , David had the truck so we took the car, it was out of gas, so we had to stop for gas,we had to hurry,guess what, we hurried a little to much and we got a speeding ticket. Then, it was pouring rain and it was windy, the arena has a metal roof, the noise was terrible, we could not concentrate, we couldn't hear, and so he barked a LOT.We had no fun at all, so we came home and Zack went to bed. Tomorrow is another day. I can't always be good!! I love that dog. Left a vote. Wish us luck on our HOTM run, we will know the results Sunday morning. Thanks to all that helped. Sorry for your Loss
What a beautiful beautiful paint! Gosh, I don't know what I would do if I lost one of my horses. I guess it would be devastating. Anyways, I voted! Congrats on the horse of the day :) OH and one question, how did you like competing? FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS, Feelin Spring ☀

We have enjoyed a lovely day without a storm in sight! I did ride Fancy around the block this evening. She was a bit hyper to get home. I discover, it seems as if she only wanted to make sure Trigger was not touching any thing in HER corral. She is so possessive! Since she was so worried about bossing Trigger around, we trotted around her corral for quite a while. Fancy thinks Trigger can not eat, drink, or stand anywhere without her telling him exactly where, when, and how. I did notice that she is not pinning her ears at him as much. But she herds Trigger like a top notch shepherd. And poor little Trigger is so tolerant.
Do you have any horse in your herd that is as possessive or bossy as my Fancy?

Good Luck tomorrow
Hey, I decided, I only want overtime on rainy days or in the winter. This just messes up MY plans. So of course. today was lovely, a bit cold but beautiful sunshine, and guess what, stupid overtime. Maybe tomorrow we will ride, and play with Zack the Wonder Dog. We had a wonderful ride yesterday. I didn't get the housework done, but oh well. Left votes, thanks for yours. VOTE PATCHES DOTD from Angel Petite Fleur
Vote 32 from WOLKEN and especially Angel PF my paint mare who passed at the young age of 13, also! She sounds just like Patches except she was never one I had to "catch". She would come to me and put her head into her halter, all I had to do was buckle the side and off we would go! She and Patches are running the fields in Heaven now, free of any pain or sadness except they watch for us with ears pricked up and ready to meet us for that great bareback ride! FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS, Feelin Spring ☀

We have enjoyed a fun horsey filled weekend. Cowboy was feeling better and ready to get going. Saturday evening we spent at the horse auction. Cowboy was very shocked to see a run-a-way Halflinger run past us in a panic. His owner had beat him with a pipe and the poor animal was doing his best to run away. This happened twice before we left. Same horse, same man, same pipe. I could not understand how no one reported the man.
We have afternoon storms lately, so our herd of 2 was very dirty. It only sprinkled a little today, which allowed us to groom them. Cowboy could not believe how much shedding hair and dirt was on his little Trigger. I thought Fancy was close to finished shedding until I curried her today! What a load of fluff!
Cowboy was very proud of his little obstacle coarse made with cones he set in the back yard. We took turns walking Trigger and Fancy through them. It sure did turn cold as the sun set. We put our herd of 2 in the corral and we headed in for the night. Surprise for me! This was the first time we put Fancy and Trigg in the corral for the night that Fancy did not chase Trigg and be mean to him. Yay Fancy! My good girl :)
