How We Met

He was given to us. I still have not gotten the entire story, and I don't think I really want it. I know that he is about 5 years old. His mother was stolen before he was born and taken somewhere around Colorado. I know he was abused from the minute he was born by a man. I also know that when the woman that had owned his mom found out where he was (it took her 5 years), he tried to get rid of them and sent him and his mother to a feedlot waiting to be sent to Canada to slaughter. Buddy will be a work in progress for a long time. We finally built up enough trust to catch him and although my best friend, who is a guy, owns him, he still can't catch him. He will be a woman's horse always. I don't know if I can ever gain his trust enough to ride him. It's such a shame because this is one of the best looking horses we have and he could have been great. Maybe with a lot work, he still can be, but either way, he will never have anyone abuse him ever again..
