How We Met

I became a volunteer at a horse rescue and they had me ride Jag because I came with lots of experience as a rider. He hadn't been ridden in 5 weeks! And I stayed on. After that we grew such a tight bond that I had to adopt him. He now resides at the rescue and were I ride him as often as I can and show together. I am still a volunteer at the rescue riding other horses, but he knows that he will always come first in my heart!.

Cool!!
It's cool that you volunteer at a horse rescue place! Congrats on staying on! It was kinda the same with my pony, Tonka! He would take off galloping and bucking at the same time! My instructor put me on him more because I wasn't scared than because I was experienced, but Tonka's made me experienced sense he's so hard to ride. But he's perfect for me; I don't mind if he acts up every now and then (it makes it more exiting!), and besides, Tonka is 10,000,000 times better than when I started! Tonka and me LOVE to jump too! Isn't it great to have a horse?! I actually just bought Tonka about 2 mounths ago. He was $4,000 which is more than we were willing to pay for a horse, but he was actually supposed to be $8,000, and we knew he wouldn't go to a good home because he was so wild, and he was a one person horse, so he would go right back to where he started with someone else on. So we had to buy him! I'm voting!

It is Spring!
Boy, Jag is feeling great. I think we may do really well this show season. This would be our first and official full show season together. I may be 25 years old, but I feel like I am 16 again with all the excitement and the thrill that is behind owning a horse for the first time.

I had ridden for years, teaching lessons, training jumper ponies, but finally owning a horse is a great experience. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

It is finally spring in my neck of the woods, sun is bright, the ring is dry, and my horse is feeling good. for a soon to be 19 year old, this boy has a lot of pep.

This own webpage thing is cool, we will try to keep it updated as much as we can... but since I (jag's mommy) volunteer for the rescue and is a veterinary technician full time, time is very little. But remind her and she will be happy to write something up about me.... she loves to talk about her horse.

Come visit me, Jag.
