How We Met

Princess came to me on February 16, 2010. Only thats when I first meet her. My friends little sister had a friend on her softball team whose mom was wanting to get rid of her daughters horse because she didn't ride anymore. I took the opportunity at a free horse and decided to go look at her. Little did I know what condition she would be in. WHen i arrived at the womans house the barn was broken down and when i saw Princess she was covered in mud her legs had layers of manure she was bloated she had thrush and round worms and her mane and tail were completely matted. She ran away from the woman all the time and it took us an hour to catch her. She had told me she had paid $1200 in her training and quit taking her there because she did not like the trainer but hadn't been ridden in about 2 years. Of course i took her home with me and started helping her heal. Once training her began I had figured out why she stopped the training process, she was scared of whips and when you tried to put a bit in her face she would rear up and kick out. The only thing i could think of was that she had been abused and unloved. Within a month of just bonding with her she let me do anything i wanted except a bit going in her mouth she just prefers a hack-a-mor and she just follows me everywhere! She will still not let males hardly touch her let alone ride her and she is very hesitant around new people and environments..
