How We Met

Cookies was are first mini, we wonted a mini to match my National Show Horse to take in parades together. Poor Cookie when we went to look at her, we found out that she had not had a bath is 7 years, never had any shots, teeth never floated, never been body clipped, hooves super over grown. And she was so over weight that the vet said she should have foundered. Cookie did not know what apples, or carrots were. and she we deathly afraid of people. for a long time cookie had to be kept in a 12X12 stall cause we couldn't catch her, she would run away and put her head in the corner and kick out you. but through many apples, and just sitting with her in the stall she came along. Cookie has had 3 foals on my farm, but she is my only mare and gets lots of attention. I keep her body clipped over the summer just like a show horse. She only goes to show when I take her babies. but this mare has come a long way..
