How We Met

A haflinger is my DREAM horse. I saved up money and a friend took me down to Indiana where they were haveing a haflinger auction. We watched ALOT of pretty horses go. We finally bid on number 25. Ultimut was his registered name. He was so pretty! After we won we paid for him and went to see him..he was perfect like an angel, I began dreaming of what I would do with him. We loaded him into the trailer and brought him home. He had Garante on him, witch ment, if we decided we didn't want him within a month we could bring him back and get our money back. For 25 days I enjoyed that horse to the fullest, I loved him to death already, he was so calm and acted like a dead broke 20yr old. One day in the pasture all the horses were haveing a nice gallop, my pony Jasper was twords the front of the herd...we looked for strato. He came ambling over the hill, he looked like a geraffi....Lisa said "Theres something just not right about him." so on the 29th day we got him vet checked, he was perfect for the vet no matter what kind of crazy thing the vet made him do. At the end of the check the vet told us he had Wobblers, I was so heartbroken. But I HAD to give him up it was the best thing for both of us. I said goodbye to him for the last time that day, he was trailered back down to Ohio where his breeders were from. After him I couldn't look at any haflingers for sale without compareing it to him, he was so perfect..I just couldn't do it. So we ended up looking at anything but haflingers. Thats how Savvy came to be mine. I just wanted to make this page so i could remember him..
