Sorry I haven't been writing blogs, but HorseChannel is acting really weird and it's hard to get the website to work properly. So I will try again.
It's finally cold and snowy here, and I'm not sure whether I'm happy or sad about it LOL! At least Luna is getting some use out of her furry wooly coat she grew!

Here's a mid-week vote for you!
It was surprisingly mild here today, about 32 degrees (it was in the teens yesterday). I didn't have time to ride, but it would've been a great day for it. Instead, I groomed Luna and put colored hair extensions in her tail. I added pictures of it. I love the way she stands out in her herd now!Come visit me, Wizard & ~Luna~.

I have a four stall barn with a loft and some extra space, that I can sometimes use, but it isn't really an arena. When the weather gets bad I can sometimes just ride anyway, if it isn't too bad. But when it is too bad I just can't ride that day. I have just one horse in my barn right now, but may get more. I also have chickens in my barn. How many horses do you have? Do your mom amd dad, or brother/sister ride? Well, have a nice day!!!

Yes, I think you are right about thinking another discpline is harder. I don't show at to high of levels either, but I would love to in a year or so. What breeds of horses do you prefer for jumping? For reining we prefer Quarter Horses, Arabians, Appaloosas, Australian Stock horses. What is the weather like where you live. At my house it is a little snowy and very muddy, we have had an exceptionally wet and warm fall/winter. Do you have an arena to ride in? I don't but we might get one put in next year.

I'm glad you got to watch some reining videos. No, reining is not always bideless, only on higher level competitions, I have did brideless reining a little bit, but it takes a lot of work. Freestyle reining is probably one of my favorites, because you can dress up with your horse and rein to a song and you get to make up your own reining pattern. It is very fun. Where have you shown before? I have shown at our county fair, at some NRHA shows and some CORHA ( Central Ohio Reining Horse Association). I have taken english riding lesson before and actually thought that was so much harder than reining.

I am glad that you had a nice Christmas. I think you got some nice gifts. I got a new bridle and reins and a new belt for show. You should really try western, it is very fun, a lot different than english. Reining is basically western dressage, and I'm sure you know what dressage is. Do you have access to youtube? If you do, then type in reining, or freestyle reining. Also, check out Stacy Westfall. It is a very cool sport. Do you just do jumping or eventining and dressage, or cross country? Have a great day. It would be fun to blog back and fourth. Do you ride western at all, do you like to show a lot. I ride mostly western, but I sometimes ride english at my friend's barn. My favorite horse activity is reining and I might be going to some shows this year.

I woke up this morning and it finally SNOWED!! So I am totally going riding today. Since I've only had Luna since September, this will be the first time I've ever ridden her in the white stuff...it should be fun! I might even take my dog along, too.
I hope you get some riding time in. That's what Saturdays were made for (and Sundays, and Mondays, and the rest of the days, too LOL)!

Your Horse is Lovely!
Hi! I think Blue looks great, and that's a good picture of you jumping. I was going to ride today but the mild temps we were having disappeared overnight and now it's c-o-l-d and windy and damp. So, I just groomed Luna and gave her some treats and a hug. Hopefully it will be a little more pleasant by the weekend. I don't mind temperatures in the 30s, but low 20s is too cold for me!
