My mother's friend's friend had a horse for sale, and despite my protests, I was forced to go. I saw her, a wild, mule-looking mare with a dull coat and spicy attitude and thought "This is not the horse for me". "Do you like her?" my dad asked. All eyes turned on me. Including the owner's. What was I suppose to do? Critize the horse in front of her owners? I simply nodded, thinking I'd tell my dad later. When i got in the car, my dad waited outside talking to the owner.
