I'm getting the farrier out next week. Jessica's suppose to come out on the 17th, with a friend, and we're going to work and ride Sadie. Anxious. I'm going to put a "Ride At Your Own Risk" sign on the corral. Sadie's a good girl, but accidents can happen. Hope they don't. Big hug and a vote. I bought MTG and used it on Sadie when I got home from work. She's itchy, again, and starting to rub the hair off her tail. This stuff is amazing. It brought back her mane and tail last summer. She was a 21 year old Shetland pony from Bloomsfield Hills, Mi.. Pixie's been a HC club member for over 3 years and 7 months. She belonged to our dear friend, Joanna Wicke. Joanna kept her at a farm where she was used for educational programs and pony rides at birthday parties. When Joanna passed away last September, Pixie followed her to Heaven 5 months later. Austin and I went to town Thursday, and he bought me the movie, 'War Horse'. We watched together. It's a great movie. Sad, too. Been needing to spend some special time with him. Hi! Sorry about the c/ps. It easier, because my internet is slow. Want to thank everyone for your support and votes for Sadie. It means so much.....I worked some on the corral Wednesday, putting up metal stripping on the wooden posts that hold the shade up. Hope it stands up to Sadie scratching her big butt against it. Thanks to those of you who know about Angel Pixie Dust's May HOTM run and are understanding about my blogs. Trying to reach those who never got to meet Joanna.............. I've been a member of HC since Jan,27,2010. I've met some of the most amazing people here. Made some wonderful friends who I love very much. Had some fun Sadie time Thursday. She's learned to knock on the backdoor for carrots. Tried Lunging her. She didn't care for it. Got to work with her more. The second picture at the bottom is of Scruffy and me. When I was leading Sadie around on her lead rope, he jumped up in her face playing with her. She's kicked his butt before, and she will, again. This is what I posted on my facebook page about Austin and Sadie's weekend adventure......Austin was filling the water trough for the horses. He put the hose in the trough to fill it, and Sadie kept taking it out. He finally took the hose and splashed her nose, then put it back in the trough. Sadie took it out, again, and started swinging the hose around wetting Austin. He took the hose from her and wet her down. She left it alone, then. Started the same game the next day. Smart?
