I love your horse's name! So clever! And most Appaloosas are a pain in the you-know-what LOL, but we love 'em anyway.
Thanks so much for your vote. It was such a wonderful surprise to see Luna had been voted HOTD...and she wasn't even running for it! I gave her extra carrots, of course. I went riding yesterday, but afterwards I tried something I saw in a YouTube video. I started teaching her to "shake hands" (or hoofs? LOL). She started getting the idea of what I want after about 15 minutes. She doesn't offer up a hoof on command yet, but she started lifting her hoof towards me (instead of backwards, as if I was going to clean the hoof)and letting me hold it as long as I like. So that's progress, and today I will repeat until she gets it. It's just a stupid trick, but it's fun!
It's getting real cold around here now, but that won't keep me away from Luna. Have a horsey day! Voted.
