Star didn't care for the mister Thursday, but Sadie enjoyed it. I let them out of the corral. They love the pods that fall from the mesquite tree. I took the water hose and rinsed Sadie's big butt off. She loved it. Hugs and a vote. Come visit me, SADIE ** Amber #256716 July HOTM**.

I let the girls out of the corral, again, Thursday. Sadie was a bad girl. She pinned her ears back at Star and actually herded her away from the hay I left out for them. Got to work with her on that. As the sun was setting and the temperature started to cool down, Sadie ran and played around the property. She was so funny. She had a wall of dust following her every step. So dry here. Scruffy, my dog, loves it when Sadie runs. He runs after her and enjoys it until Sadie turns around and chases him. He immediately runs off terrified. Getting kicked once was enough for him. Trying to teach Sadie to be a lady. I bought a bag of apples for the girls. After cutting several of them in quarters, I took a bowl full out to the corral. Of course, Sadie met me before I went in. While dividing the apple slices, between them, I had to correct Sadie's aggressiveness. She pinned those ears back and got in between Star and me, not wanting to share. She gets no apples until she backs down and shares. Hard to teach her that. All she sees is food and wants it all to herself. Horsey day tomorrow. Hugs and a vote. Big hi. A friend, I met while working at Cracker Barrel, came in Tuesday night. So good to see him. He's a true cowboy. Has mules he rides. What a cold & windy day in NC! I did spend a bit of time today cleaning Fancy's corral. I was on my way into the shed and Fancy nickered to me. I know the look, she wants time out. I actually promised her I would give her time out when I finished putting my yard tools away. The wind was blowing so hard when I came out of the shed that I forgot my promise to Fancy & was about to lock the shed door when Fancy nickered to me. She was standing at the gate patiently waiting for her time out. I told her Ok, you keep me honest! And back into the shed I went to fetch her halter and lead. On the way I was thinking to myself, I talk to this horse too much, she knows what I am telling her. I gotta stop talking soo much. LOL! I do love my sweet horse ♥
'C' had to visit his Trigger today. When we got there Trigg was across the creek. We called to him and he actually ran over. I think he thought it was supper time. 'C' gave Trigg a nice juicy apple. Trigg got himself a new nickname today. 'C' calls him Tigger now.
The rains held back and the winds were harsh, it was too cold to ride, but we had lovely weather this weekend.
