Here is a good night vote from our herd to yours. Hope you have enjoyed this weekend come rain or shine. The rains have set upon us for a few days to come. It feels relaxing, but chilly. I just watched Fancy and Trigger munching hay and while they ate their grain, I stood out in the rains to police Fancy. LOL. To keep Fancy from taking Trigger's grain. When I am in the house, I often look out at the flowers and to keep an eye on Fancy. My small flower garden has come a long way. I am going to bed soon. I am a bit tired.

Sorry I haven't been on here in a while!! Have you tried M-T-G? It is a miracle solution that you can buy at almost any tack store or online. It is AMAZING!! It usually cost about 15-16 dollars a bottle but it will last a while and it really helps. You just rub it in to their mane, tail, or any bald spots that you want hair to grow.
I have to close Zero's page because we are moving and I can't lease him anymore :( I will make a new page though and try to catch up with everybody!! Hope y'all are having a good day! Left a vote :)

I put Sadie's new fly mask on her today. She shredded her old one. I put Star's back on, too. I had hers off, because she had a scrape on her face that the mask was irritating. She has new places on her face from bumping into the corral. She can't see at all. So sad. I think the most merciful thing I can do for her is to put her down. Hate the thought of it. Will have to wait until next year, because I need to save up for it. I have to keep reminding myself that she's had a long life. Hugs and a vote. I spent some time Thursday with the girls. Hate to admit that I was late with giving Sadie her 4 in 1 shot. I picked it up yesterday. The man at the feed store told me how to give it to her. I put her halter on her, and Austin diverted her attention with carrots while I gave it to her. Such a good girl. I kept checking her. She's doing good. I didn't put them back in the corral, either. The property behind my house is fenced in with field fencing. I decided to just keep the corral gate open. Sadie loves to nap in the loose hay. I've got some of it put up, so she can't destroy it. Star's enjoying the freedom, too. I have a yard light up, so I can keep a check on them. I had it put up when I first got Lightning and Star.....I have a busy work weekend. Another hot day. The sun is so strong. When I left for work around 1:20 pm, I noticed one of Mark's horses was laying down. I tried to call him to see if she was okay. No answer. Mark's been out here for 6 1/2 years and has never put a shade up. He hasn't had the horses hooves trimmed in years, either. Don't understand why he hasn't. I called Austin and told him to let Sadie and Star out of the corral, so they could go stand under the trees for shade. I have the 8' x 12' shade in their corral, but the shade under the trees is cooler. They mutilated a bale of hay. I need to start putting the hay outside of the fence, so they can't reach it. Not much horsey time, today. I let the girls out of the corral for a few hours. I had to take Star's fly mask off, because she's got a sore place on her face. I sprayed Cut and Heal on it. I let the girls out of the corral, again, Thursday. Sadie was a bad girl. She pinned her ears back at Star and actually herded her away from the hay I left out for them. Got to work with her on that. As the sun was setting and the temperature started to cool down, Sadie ran and played around the property. She was so funny. She had a wall of dust following her every step. So dry here. Scruffy, my dog, loves it when Sadie runs. He runs after her and enjoys it until Sadie turns around and chases him. He immediately runs off terrified. Getting kicked once was enough for him. Austin helped me put the misting system up. He went out to the corral first, carrying the hammer, nails and the misting system. Sadie had to check out everything he had. she knocked the box of nails off the corral panel. Kept Austin busy. He said she was like a kid, getting into everything. I let her and Star out of the corral, so we could work in peace. We got it up, and it works great. Just not good in the wind. Will be great on those hot, windless days. Since Sadie doesn't like getting her face wet, she didn't stay in the sprinkler too long. Just off and on. I missed out on some good pictures. I took the camera out too late. Or maybe she knew I wanted pictures of her playing in the sprinkler? Anyway, I posted, what I was able to take, on the bottom of Sadie's page. Star loved it, too. Spent time with Sadie and Star Monday. Austin and I dewormed Star. Doing them together next time. I put the lead rope on Star and walked her. She enjoyed it and so did I. Every now and then Sadie would charge us, then stop as soon as she got next to us. Such a silly character. She was loving freedom from the corral. After walking Star, I took her fly mask off and saw that one of her eyes had cleared up to where I could see her pupil. She had some sight. Eye problems are common in appaloosas. Hi! I had a great week. My daughter graduated from college, my mother came all the way from Virginia to visit, I had a fun cook-out with friends, went trail riding every day in beautiful weather, and sold some unwanted extra tack for big $$$. Good times!
Luna must be "feeling her oats" a lot lately, because she tests me almost every ride. Actually, that's a good thing, because it teaches me to pay attention to her body language. I'm always up to learn more about my mare!
