I am from shepherd, MT and I've been a Club Horse member for 6 years and 1 month
Nicknames: Annie. Annie is another Pryor Mountain mustang
Age: 11 years old
Gender: Mare
Breed: Mustang
Height:
Color: Annie is a brown paint with also the dun markings, she has the black dorsal stripe down her back , the black zebra stripe markings on her legs her legs are feathered.
Type of Riding: I plan on doing everything with this horse, her first challenge will be the Ultimate warrior race In June( kinda like the Indian Relay races you see on u tube), but this one is a 12 mile cross country race where the person has to run on foot for 4 miles,2nd half of race, row a canoe on the river for 4 miles, then the last 4 miles they must ride bareback (3 horses are needed) each horse does a little over a mile, then rider must change to a fresh horse for 2nd mile ride, then change to the last fresh horse and cross the finish line. The pace is varied for the horses. Every one who enters rides quarter/thoroug- hbred horses. No one has entered a mustang. so I am , I would like to let people know mustang can and do make good horses for people. Little Spirit is being conditioned for this race also.
My Horse's Achievements: Annie was a complete wild horse, that is being broke and trained she has made a lot of headway, she has taken
the trainer for a wild ride, when her headstall came off and she did not even offer to buck once and finally came to a stop when she had her fun time with the trainer on her back ( guess horses like cat and mouse games also) Annie's first time being ridden, she did take her rider down the road for a ways. Annie has never been touched by any one, untill now, she is very smart, she is responding to natural horsemanship. She still fights a snaffle, so I am am going to try a Indian hackamore, she is being broke and trained by Native American in a gentle way. When I bought her we could not get a halter on her so we just had to run her right into the trailer then right into a corral and rope her to get a halter on, you can lead her now with lead rope. I was excited to be able to pet this horse for the first time and imprint on her, by sticking my fingers in her mouth and inside her ears and her nostrils she loves her ears petted and behind them rubbed.
Today May 13,2012 Annie gave me the most wonderful Mothers Day gift, a beautiful black and white filly. Happy Mothers day to you Annie.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Annie loves oats now

My Horse's motto: Mustangs are over looked, but should not be, they are smart horses, once broke and trained they are very loyal I love the event Mustang makeover, it gives these horses a chance to be part of some one's family and to be loved.
