Nicknames: 1.) Jasper - Barn Name
2.) Jasper's Treasure - Show Name
Age: 8 years old
Gender: Gelding
Breed:
Height: Jasper is quite tall.
He is:
17.5 hands high
or
70 inches tall
or
5 feet, 10 inches tall
Color: Jasper is a bay thoroughbred-ar- abian-quarter horse mix. He has a lovely bay coat and a thick black mane and tail.
Type of Riding: I ride english. Jasper is a great show jumper, and he loves cross country too. Neither of us are very good at dressage. I also enjoy taking Jasper for trail rides, and he loves it too.
My Horse's Achievements: 1.) Jasper was orphaned at birth and survived against all odds.
2.) He is jumping 4 feet right now! I'm so proud.
3.) We won every class we competed in at a horse show in my area.
4.) He is super awesome, funny, and an all around great horse and I'm proud of him for that.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Jasper has a few favorite treats:
1.) His apple flavored Lik-it
2.) Applezz N' Oats natural horse treats
3.) Homemade peppermint horse cookies
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Jasper loves to play games. He is very mischievous, but he is also sweet and loving. Jasper enjoys running around his paddock with his best friend, Scooby. Jasper loves to jump also. So far I have jumped up to 4'2" with him! His favorite thing to do in his stall is attempting to disassemble his lik-it! He loves it! He also likes stealing objects that are left near his stall.
Pet Peeves: 1.)Jasper hates when I close his stall door. He freaks out and starts bucking and kicking and all sorts of bad stuff, so I just put a rope in front of his door so he can see everyone.
2.) Jasper gets annoyed when we stand still for too long. If I am in a group lesson behind other horses he starts backing up and circling, so I have to walk him.
3.) Jasper does not like being tricked into taking medicine. He won't eat the food I give him if there is something ground into it, and he isn't fooled by flavored supplements or dewormers either.
My Horse's motto: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And a few times after that, too!"
