About Me

Active within 3303 Days

I am from Harrow, Canada, ON and I've been a Club Horse member for 10 years and 12 months

Nicknames: Naigen (pronounced: Nay-jin) is her barn name. Her registered name is Naigen Blaze. She is one of the first to be registered with the international arab cross association.

Age: 30 years old

Gender: Mare

Height: 13.3hh

Color: Gray. Well she is white or pee/mud coloured.

Type of Riding: Bareback and western. She does everything from jumping, bareback, barrel racing, reining, halter etc etc.

My Horse's Achievements: Shes a survivor. We found her in a swamp. Her only shelter was a stall with manure up to the rafters which she rubbed her mane out on. It's almost grown back. Shes also the best kids horse you could ask for.

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Bananas, definately. Anything you feed her she will take.

My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Be fed, eat grass by herself in the big open field, she never goes anyplace. Be groomed and fussed over and just in general patted, talked about and fed hehe.

Pet Peeves: The saddle being done up, her one and only vice. She also hates it when people are pushy on her back or rough she swishes her tail the best she can (it was broken, accident not by human some time ago)

My Horse's motto: I dont believe she has one, perhaps neigh?

How We Met

Naigen was starved. Her original owners had her and another horse in a paddock and moved to Tokyo, when they left they leased the house/farm to their son under the condition the horses were taken care of. Well he kept his promise a tiny bit. She had her feet done thank god. Her other horse died a few years before we got her. When we went to get her (the guy said 250$ we could have her, the humane society would have put her down and really the guy should have been fined)She had a 10X10 stall that was sloped and soo full of manure that she rubbed part of her mane off on the rafters. She also had a 30x20 paddock that was eaten dry. There was no hay, no water or even a bucket to pour it in. She had been eating the weeds under the fence and anything she could. She was lethargic, depressed and extremely emaciated (a 1 on the BCS, 1 being totally emaciated 8 being obese)Non the less we couldnt leave her there. She just stepped right onto the trailer and left that place in her past. When we got home, she stepped off and was greeted by a chorus of whinnies neighs and "whos that?" from the other horses. She stood and shook she was so scared. Its now been almost a year and she has gained over 300 pounds and is a pro with the kids or anyone who just isnt sure around horses. Shes a wonderful little horse, even if she has some problems I couldn't ever see selling her..

Jackson is running for HOTM in July. I would really like it if he got HOTM in July because we did not get it in June. Some facts about him are that he is a 16.2 and 1/8 hand Oldenburg. He loves people, jumping, and cookies. We do hunters and a little bit of equitation. We jump 3' to 3'6 even though he can jump 4'. I voted for your horse and I have put up some more pics of him jumping. All votes will be returned with a comment. Thanks for reading this important message. Please, Please tell all of your HC friends! Cute horse!! That is such a sad story with a really happy ending!

Come visit me, Jackson.

Hey thanks for the tip on my horse Eclipse. I have been watching him the first day that I got him he did not have any trouble eating that's a good thing. I know one thing when I got him he looked like he was sick or something I thought that he was not going to make it there for a while but when he started eating then I new that everything was going to be alright. Now he eats like my other horses do. The only thing that I am still working on is the rain rot that he had when I got him do you have a tip on how to get rid of that he had it really bad when that one guy had him now it's trying to go away but it's so bad I can't get it to heal. If you have a tip for that pls let me know. left you a vote.

Come visit me, Dezi & Lakota.

She is very grateful. Every time I come to the barn she greets me with nickers and if she is outside she runs to the fence. It took her a wile to warm up to me but it makes me feel really good knowing that she looks to me for comfort. Shes an awesome little horse.

Thanks for the comments shes great. I was riding her today and I had jumped her over some cavelettis and she was fine but when I set up an actual jump on standards (just a half foot cross pole) she jumped three feet up and then over. I was laughing so hard it was the wierdest momentum ever.
