My Horse's Achievements: When I first started leasing her, she was too fast and all over the place. She has been mine since summer of last year and since then, she has learned everything I have tried to teach her. She works so hard to please me and makes me feel like I am the best horseback rider in the world (even though we both know that is completely not true :) )

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Nature Valley oats and honey flavored granola bars

My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Run. Run. Run. We have been training for western pleasure for almost a year now but her favorite reward is when I take her out in the pasture and just open her up!

Pet Peeves: FLIES! She has a fit every time the flies are really bad that day. It's the only time she ever bucks.

How We Met

I had just lost my last horse :'( and was searching for a new horse. I went through every option until I noticed one horse out at the barn. Her previous leaser was scared to death of her and happened to never pay her owners. Ever. So they kicked them out and Spice sat in the pasture for about 4 months. She had become very sour and was difficult to catch the first couple of times. But after a week of seeing her everyday, she was ecstatic to see me. She finally had a mom. So needless to say, I signed the papers..

Hi Spice! Left you a vote! Wow, your story is similar to ours. We had just lost our very first horse, a Morgan, named Joey. Our hearts were broken and then we rescued Scout. He was a roadster and then he was pulling a cart for the Amish. He loves to run as well and we are still working on the whole walking thing. But, sounds like you have done well with Spice.
