Sorry I haven’t been on as much as planned. I have been super busy with school and training Mac. This spring we will be competing in 1st level dressage which is new to both of us and have been working super hard.

training tip
dont forget mental health as well as phsical health! this will make your horse less spooky! bombproofing your horse with traps and flags and stuff will help you bond and have better times together. so get creative and use anything you can think of! and have fun and be safe!

cute horse!
Yesterday I taught Comanche how to pick up his feet when I told him to it took awhile but once he got it he followed me around sticking his foot up at me so I'd give him another treat! Lol!!
I'm real excited counting down on the day when I get to pick up Pride!!!!
hopefully going riding today I think I have a lesson :)

Snake scare
I am so sorry it has been so long since ive been here! I got a call from the lady that takes care of Jazzi when I'm not there, and she said that she had went out to the feild for the night feeding, Nugget ran up as usual, but Jazzi was lagging back. She said she looked at Jazzi again and noticed her head was swollen to about three times its normal size! What you now have to understand is that it is copperhead season in our area, and Jazzi had been turned out on the 150 acre feild all day. So she put Jazzi in the barn and called the vet and I. Went down asap, and Jazzi looked terrible. I was so worried we would lose her! (The horse I had before this had died from a snake bite) The vet said he couldn't see the usual fang marks of a snake bite, so to watch her, and call him back if she began to have trouble breathing. Three days of waiting later, Jazzi's swelling went down. When my cousin came down with two of her horses, we found a huge hornets nest near Jazzi's favorite patch of grass! The vet said that that was a very likely explanation. So, Jazzi is OK now, but that is where I have been...Come visit me, Jazzi, Nugget & Honey.

my own horse ginger! shes taught me sooo much and is sooo strong and she never gives up!
TRY IT!
today i made a treat jar for ginger. i taught it was soo cute i had to share! just clean out an old salsa jug ( plastic) or other plastic jug. glue on a label made of constrution paper and use perment marker and glitter to decorate. if you like you can make a circle of beads around the handle so it can hand on fences. finaly fill with horse cookies,peppermints and pellets and hang!

Trail Riding

Trail Ride (Jazzi Meets Honey)
Jazzi met Honey for the first time today. Honey was brought down for a trail ride and both horses really enjoyed it! Jaz got along great with Honey. We let Nugget Come along as well, even though he can't be ridden. He and Jaz are nearly inseperable!After we got back Jazzi discovered that Honey and her 'momma' had brought some homemade horse treats with oats, applesauce, cinnamon, beet pulp and molasses in them. All the horses enjoyed them, but Jazzi was so happy her head was bobbing her head up and down and she couldn't stop wickering! It was so cute!Come visit me, Jazzi, Nugget & Honey.

What Jazzi's Been Up to
Well, she is being her usual self. She is always begging for more food(although she is on a diet to make her gain weight) and hanging aroung with her buddy, Nugget.Come visit me, Jazzi, Nugget & Honey.
