Hi,saw you visited Sierras profile.I have never trained a young horse before and I would love to have some help. I have been putting a saddle on her a couple times a week,and shes been doing pretty good with it. I know I cant ride her until shes at least 2 but I was wandering if it would be okay if I would sit on her for a few miutes now and then.Also I have been having some problems longeing her.She is usually okay at the walk and trot but when I want her to canter she sometimes braces her head and neck and bolts,and when she does this she usually pulls the longe line out of my hands and gets away fom me and then she runs around the pasture a couple of times before I can catch her.Do you know of any way to correct this habit? Hello everyone, i have not been on here in months. I got so busy keeping up with school and things and this summer with horse stuff. Punk has made such progress. Today was the best day in weeks...i just got foot surgery last wednesday and today i saw punkers for the first time since then, and i was afraid he would be afraid of the walker but he wasnt at all, he was patient and walked with me, he let me lunge him and brush him. he would get behing my walker adn rest his head on my shoulder. Its an amazing feeling knowing that you have such a strong bond with ur horse! so how have u been?(:Come visit me, *PUNK*.

Here's a vote for yah! Going out to see Logan today! I'll be there with treats in my hand while he gets shoes, sadly his gravel hasn't improved much. I'm hoping he will get better soon and I'll be able to ride in that show on the 15th! But like I said if he isn't better by than I'm not going to risk him get another injury and have to wait longer to ride him again. Any horsey plans today? Left you a vote! Congratulations on Friday's HOTD!

4. Get Shed of - Get rid of.
5. Get the Mitten - To be rejected by a lover. "Looks like Blossom gave poor Buck the mitten."
6. Get The Wrong Pig By The Tail - To make a mistake in selecting a person for any purpose. "I got the wrong pig by the tail in debating with that particular man.”
7. G'hal - A rowdy girl, reveler or ruffian girl.
8. Gig - Spur a horse.
9. Go Boil Your Shirt - Take a hike, get lost, bug off.
10. Gospel Mill - A church.
11. Gospel Sharp - A preacher.
12. Grab the Apple - Taking hold of the saddle horn to avoid falling off. Also called "grab the nubbin." In either case, this was not something a self-respecting cowboy wanted to be caught doing.
