Thanks for visiting and voting! I know it's been a long time since I wrote in the blogs, but I'm here to catch up. Guess what? I found my own horse on Whinny Warz!! I've been playing that game for over a year, and suddenly, while I was playing this morning, THERE SHE WAS! Plus, I got 500 points for finding her.
I hope the new year has been good to you so far. I have lots of riding plans for once the weather improves, but for now, I'm just doing ground work and trick training. It's actually pretty fun.

I had a nice ride on Whiskey yesterday. It was 79 degrees-WOW it was so pretty out. I also received my 2013 calendar I traded my points in for and I love it. The pictures are great!!! Come visit me, ♥ Whiskey ♥ turnout #3 & ♥ Deacon ♥turnout #2 w Cliff.

Texas is really glad to have 1960 votes. We only need 40 more for our goal! WOHOO. HISTORY OF THE WELSH MOUNTAIN PONY
Life was far from easy for those early Welsh ponies. They faced elimination when Henry VIII decreed that all horses under 15 hands be destroyed. Somehow some survived! Before mechanization, they became popular all across Great Britain doing heavy work on the small farms. As well they provided valuable transportation pulling sizeable loads and as riding and pack animals. They served their masters faithfully and displayed a strength and stamina that many horses twice their size couldnt match. Because of this they were in great demand to haul the coal out of the depths of the mines. Fortunately the lot of the present day Welsh Mountain ponies has changed to one of relative ease.
