Today is the last day for the next week that I will be able to leave normal daily blogs and votes for a few days. My oldest son is visiting from Kabul. We pick him up at the airport Sunday!!! Today is his 31st birthday! We will be out cramming all we can into a few days. I will not have much computer time. I will try to vote contest each day and I will try to help with the newsletter on Thursday.

♡♥♡ Happy Presidents Day…I had a very nice weekend and hoping you did too!! I hauled Deacon to Lake Whitney and met some friends. It was so beautiful out, calm clear skies and the temp was around 62. Perfect day! We didn’t get back to the trailer until after dark. The people I rode with do not really do much picture taking so I got 2 pictures of just Deacon but they turned out ok. Sunday was clear and 68 but the winds were 18 to 25 mph so I didn’t ride but I did chores around the barn and helped Cliff put in an opening for a gate area so we can let the horses out to the middle turn out through their main area they stay with the barn. Just enjoyed being out side and of course I had to muck stalls. Hope you had a great weekend too!!!!

Happy Friday!
I spent the blizzard on vacation in Orlando, swimming in the hotel pool (yeah, I know, I'm a brat LOL)! I didn't do anything "horsey" on vacation, but the theme parks were fun, and I got to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, because I'm a big Harry Potter nerd. My kids even talked me into riding a big scary loopy roller coaster...yikes! But then I had to come back to cold, snow, and reality...oh well!

I spent Valentines Day at home with Sadie. What a character. Rick picked up my hay. I had the gate open, so Rick could drive through it. Since I had Sadie out of the corral, I had to block her to keep her from getting out. That worked for a while. She, eventually, got out, of course. She had a blast. She played keep away with Rick, letting him get close and,then, hauled butt with that tail curled. Rick was not amused. It only took a carrot to get her back in. She didn't try to run off. Long time no see! I know it's been a long time since I wrote in the blogs, but I'm here to catch up. Guess what? I found my own horse on Whinny Warz!! I've been playing that game for over a year, and suddenly, while I was playing this morning, THERE SHE WAS! Plus, I got 500 points for finding her.
I hope the new year has been good to you so far. I have lots of riding plans for once the weather improves, but for now, I'm just doing ground work and trick training. It's actually pretty fun.

It was so cold and windy for my day off. It also rained early and stayed cloudy and drizzly all day as well. No horsey time which made me sad but I couldn’t have found a better way to pass the winter cold day!!!!
My son and grandson came over Thursday night to stay a few days. Now that was fun!!!! Other than feeding my time was spent in the house with a 2 ½ year old comedian!! That Jason (grandson) is the happiest human I have ever met~ha ha. The 3 movies we watched were so awesome. I have forgotten how much fun it is to be with a little one non-stop for a few days! We watched: Lady and the Tramp*Zookeeper & Babe-Pigs in the city (various other kid shows threw the day=Disney jr). Cliff and I laughed till we cried for hours…I know some of you have grandkids and can so relate to this! Those who don’t yet will cherish the time when you get to that phase of your life ☺
Little Jason kept going to the window wanting me to pick him up so he could see the horses. He says their names so cute how can I resist!!

I haven’t had much horsey time but of course our horses live with us so I see them every day! Morning feedings & evening feedings are my quality time on the days that I cannot spend much time with them. I can look out my window when I’m home and see their beautiful images too at any time…I feel so blessed to have them in my care and I thank the lord every day that I have been chosen to be their care taker ♥ ♥ ♥

Happy Caturday to you!!
Thank the Heavens above we got rain finally after 10 weeks!!!!
My friend Gail came over yesterday afternoon and we rode for several hours. We had a wonderful ride. We got sprinkled on about 3 or 4 times but we knew that would happen before we even started. The bigger rain was not expected until after 5 pm so we knew it wouldn’t last long. Gail’s horse is pretty young (4) but they did great together! We WTC all over the fields and just had a blast. Deacon is my Cadillac! He is so smooth! So easy to ride…..
Many prayers for the families that lost children and loved one’s yesterday at Sandy Hook Elementary…WOW I can’t believe these things happen…..Come visit me, ♥ Whiskey ♥ & ♥ Deacon ♥.
