☆ Good Monday afternoon! I had a horsey filled weekend, how about you? I would love to hear all about it! Saturday I took Deacon and hauled out to our favorite place, “McCown Valley Lake Whitney “. There were so many people there. A lot were camped out with their horses competing in trail obstacles. There were judges staked out at different areas so they could perform maneuver’s to get points. Anyway, me and the crew I was with took back ways that no one else really knows about. Deacon was a ball of energy the 1st hour and after that he smoothed on out to his perfect self for the rest of the day! Sunday I got out Whiskey. I groomed him and broke out the clippers. He usually does not like the clippers but I worked with his legs and moved on up and got him use to it first. He sure looked pretty after I removed all the hair around his face! We rode there around the house for about an hour. Yes I groomed Rocket as well. No I didn’t clip him nor did I ride him. I did work from the ground with him. I lunged him at a walk, then trot, and worked on backing. He was such a good boy. You can tell he wants to learn and do well…have a great day!!

♡♥♡ Silly weather changed on me yesterday. It was cloudy and rainy all day until 5-ish. Stayed cloudy but stopped raining so we were able to put out a round bale. I had my phone ready to video the horses because they usually do all kinds of silly things when we put out a new round bale…but no, not sense I was ready to capture them on video-oh well! Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Sunday!
It snowed (again) last night. I normally like the snow, but enough is enough. The old snow hasn't even melted away yet, so now there's just snow on top of snow. Oh well, I'll just make a thermos of hot chocolate and head to the barn to watch the horses romp in all the white stuff. Winter OR summer, it's fun to watch horses run and play! ♡♥♡ Happy Presidents Day…I had a very nice weekend and hoping you did too!! I hauled Deacon to Lake Whitney and met some friends. It was so beautiful out, calm clear skies and the temp was around 62. Perfect day! We didn’t get back to the trailer until after dark. The people I rode with do not really do much picture taking so I got 2 pictures of just Deacon but they turned out ok. Sunday was clear and 68 but the winds were 18 to 25 mph so I didn’t ride but I did chores around the barn and helped Cliff put in an opening for a gate area so we can let the horses out to the middle turn out through their main area they stay with the barn. Just enjoyed being out side and of course I had to muck stalls. Hope you had a great weekend too!!!!

Fancy is really pawing you a vote tonight. I mean for real. LOL! She still has those feet into every thing. I put the water and food bucket that she uses when she is out, into the stall with her. I thought that might help her. She seemed happier eating out of the bucket instead of the feeder on the wall.
I tried a hay bag instead of hay net and I posted photos of what she did to it after only one night! She ripped it front and back. Ok, we can't use a hay net, can't use a hay bag.
I also posted a photo of her heel bulb injury from the first day. She cut if from the top down. The part that she cut began to dry up and wither, so I removed it and I try to keep it clean with meds on it. I will be glad when she is all healed and I don't have to keep her in the stall.

When I saw Bridesmaid's picture yesterday, I just knew she was going to get HOTD very soon. Good job! I also left votes for Sly and Sweetheart today, too.
After church today I'm hoping to get a quick ride in. The weather has been so lousy lately (either too icy, too muddy, etc) that it hasn't been safe to ride. I really miss my saddle time. So, maybe today? we'll see. I left you a vote, and have a horsey day!

Friday in N Carolina was 60% and lovely. Today was in the 40's and snowing! The snow melted when it hit the ground It was pretty, but can you imagine 60 one day and snowing the next.
Fancy had to find something to put her feet in last night. This time it was the feed bucket that is bolted to the wall. I remember when she was a yearling, I was on my way out, and I looked to check on her, she was standing with both front feet in the feet bucket that is bolted on the wall. My husband had a field day with that one! I thought I would never hear the end of that.
Fancy puts her feet in the water, and I have to put her grain in a deep bucket to keep her feet out. She has done this every since I have had her.
Does any one know why a horse would have such a strong inclination to put it's feet into every thing? Does any of your horses do this?
Poor little Trigger stands there and looks at Fancy like perhaps he finds her amusing.
Since Fancy is in the stall Trigger sure does poop all over the place. I think Fancy made him poop in certain areas. Now Sir Poops a Lot is free to poop where ever he wants.

I saw your horse's name on another blog, and decided to come visit. Bridesmaid's a real cutie! I love her coloring.
I just discovered that they put a riding helmet as one of the gifts you can redeem for Horse Channel points! I was going to buy a new one soon, because my current one is banged up, but now I won't have to because I've almost got enough points to redeem for it. I really want that helmet.
