So, I had actually put a little money down on Amber when I rode her for the first time. That allowed me to do a trial with her, but also give me time to find a ride for her. I have no trailer. Fancy and I enjoyed a cloudy evening! We were overdue for this show practice and time just hanging out. Fancy did not fret for Trigger one bit, even though Trigger screamed murder every time we got out of his sight. We are expecting rains and clouds all week. But the weekend may be nice. We will try to practice a little each day. It was so much fun! And today was the first day Fancy was ridden since her heel injury. She was great. Like she never missed a beat. I am glad I did not rush her.

I spent most all of Friday at a friend's house horsing around...LOL! We went for a really nice trail ride, and even did a little cantering. So much fun to go riding again!!! i got to meet the wonderful joey and her sister nancy. they came for about an hour while i had lessons going so we kinda visited around the activity. had a parent take a few quick pics. i posted one of joey & me with sing, then joey and nancy with peach. it was so good to have my first meet up! ♥♡♥ Yep, grey skies changed my plans yesterday morning! I did spring cleaning till nearly 12:00! I ate lunch, and then brushed Deacon and Rocket-fly sprayed and turned them out. I got Whiskey next and bathed him! He looked so pretty...after that I was tired, plum pooped!! So I relaxed and watched them graze. Hi Sierra, here's a vote for ya. Had an awesome ride on Paige today. I even put a neck rope on her and gave the reins a lot of slack, like I don't ride that way anyhow! The grabbed the neck rope and worked her. She did well, not perfect, but good. Got a little faster at the lope and jog than what she's trained to do, but I didn't put a lot of leg on her either, I know Karen would have her going better like that. But I'll work on it once a week. Had them out this afternoon in the warm sun. Mowed another pasture, now I can't start all over again tomorrow with the lawn and follow with the pastures! LOL! Hey Maria and Sierra, wow haven't visited your page in forever!! Sorry :) Really busy lately!!
Tomorrow's the rodeo and I'm super excited!!!! Sweet Pea's not as shiny as I'd like her to be, so I'll have to really use some elbow-grease tomorrow morning. I practiced with her Thursday eve and she was really really great.
I can't wait to tell you all how it goes!!
Can you all please pray that it doesn't rain!!! We'll just have it another weekend, but it was rained out last Saturday, too :(

Had some Sadie time today. We both need it everyday. It's getting hot here, so I didn't ride. I put the halter on her and walked her off the property. She was a little nervous, so we took it slow, stopping when she needed to to look around and see that she was okay. Neighborhood dogs were barking at us. She walked a little fast on the way back to the house. Had to keep stopping her to slow her down. She loved it. Going to walk her more often to get her use going off the property. Going to work up to riding her. Last time I rode her off the property, she was nervous and wanted to fight me. She should trust me more now. Hugs and a vote. Hi Sierra, here's a vote for ya. Had a really good ride on Paige today. Needed it, started the day off with my washing machine taking a dump on me. I think this time it's a gonner! It's almost 35 years old, what'a ya think? Of course it was full of laundry and water, had to try and hand ring things out, bring them upstairs and handwash in the kitchen sink. Not my idea of fun! HI, left a vote. Posted two more pics of Amber today, one in black and white, and the other with my headstall that I think looks great on her.
Got to ride Amber today. Had to ride in Tasha's saddle as I forgot mine today. LOL I got on, realized that the stirrups were way to long, but I am lazy today, so I just rode in the saddle just didn't use the stirrups. Amber walked right by the spooky spot from Tuesday with out an issue today! No one was out there today, so the mounting block I use, was left in the middle of the arena. As we are coming out of the turn in one end of the arena, Amber sees the mounting block in the middle of the arena, and snorts at it, and then jumps to the side! Silly Amber, I just used that block to mount, and now you are like what is that!? Too funny. So again, like the other day, I just bent her head around to a stop. Then we walked off, just stayed to the outer part of the arena, when she relaxed I then started to circle the block, at a walk, each time getting a little closer to it. After three circles, she then was like hey, we are close to that block, jump to the side! I got her to stop, looking at it straight on, just made her stand there, she snorted, but stood there, then I asked her to take a couple of steps towards it, she did, snorted, I stopped her, stood there again looking at it, repeated that step again, we are now about 10 feet from it, I ask her to walk towards it, she did, she walked right up to it, sniffed it, then used it to scratch her face with! That took a whole of 5 min to do. We then walked off, and she was ok with it the rest of the ride. I then told her, "Ok Amber, legs are hurting time to end the ride", she then walked right over to the mounting block and stopped! Awesome! It felt great to accomplish something else with her today, only our 5th ride.Come visit me, Toby & Amber.

COME VISIT ANKA’S OWN PAGE ! It is so cold and rainy today (about 45°F) that it was good she did not get her HOTD, she is stuck in her stall because of the cold winds, rain & temperatures. Mid May it is usually very warm, more like 75-82°F . It can get cool in the summers or very hot & dry. Well, this is the coldest I have experienced it here in our area for close to 12 years! Feels more like Paris weather,LOL! Went out to check on Sadie when I got home from work last night. She'd torn her fly mask off. It lasted 10 days. Hope to someday move away from the egg ranch. The flies are horrible. so a Horse can't win twice? I thought they only were not able to get the points twice a year but could run for and achieve horse of the day more than once a year.
