Nicknames: I call her cece and my aunt calls her Baby.

Height: Sierra is still growing.
Color: It is kind of hard to tell what color Sierra is going to stay, she has changed colors several times since she was born, right now she is almost black.
Type of Riding: I dont ride her yet because she is to young, but when I do ride her it will be western.
My Horse's Achievements: Sierra has learned how to lead,longe,pick up her feet,flex her neck,wear a saddle and bridle and be ponied off of another horse.She also knows the voice commands walk,trot,lope and wo(although she doesnt always obey them).Some of these things she isnt very good at but she is improving.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Anything thats edible even a few things that aren't edible, one time she ate a wad of tissues(don't worry they were clean). She loves to chew on ropes and I'm sure she would swallow them if it was possible.
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Eat, be with her mom and chew on everything.
Pet Peeves: She does not like when I take Misty out riding and leave her behind.

Hi Sierra, here's a vote for ya. Had an awesome ride on Paige today. I even put a neck rope on her and gave the reins a lot of slack, like I don't ride that way anyhow! The grabbed the neck rope and worked her. She did well, not perfect, but good. Got a little faster at the lope and jog than what she's trained to do, but I didn't put a lot of leg on her either, I know Karen would have her going better like that. But I'll work on it once a week. Had them out this afternoon in the warm sun. Mowed another pasture, now I can't start all over again tomorrow with the lawn and follow with the pastures! LOL! Hey Maria and Sierra, wow haven't visited your page in forever!! Sorry :) Really busy lately!!
Tomorrow's the rodeo and I'm super excited!!!! Sweet Pea's not as shiny as I'd like her to be, so I'll have to really use some elbow-grease tomorrow morning. I practiced with her Thursday eve and she was really really great.
I can't wait to tell you all how it goes!!
Can you all please pray that it doesn't rain!!! We'll just have it another weekend, but it was rained out last Saturday, too :(

Had some Sadie time today. We both need it everyday. It's getting hot here, so I didn't ride. I put the halter on her and walked her off the property. She was a little nervous, so we took it slow, stopping when she needed to to look around and see that she was okay. Neighborhood dogs were barking at us. She walked a little fast on the way back to the house. Had to keep stopping her to slow her down. She loved it. Going to walk her more often to get her use going off the property. Going to work up to riding her. Last time I rode her off the property, she was nervous and wanted to fight me. She should trust me more now. Hugs and a vote. Hi Sierra, here's a vote for ya. Had a really good ride on Paige today. Needed it, started the day off with my washing machine taking a dump on me. I think this time it's a gonner! It's almost 35 years old, what'a ya think? Of course it was full of laundry and water, had to try and hand ring things out, bring them upstairs and handwash in the kitchen sink. Not my idea of fun! HI, left a vote. Posted two more pics of Amber today, one in black and white, and the other with my headstall that I think looks great on her.
Got to ride Amber today. Had to ride in Tasha's saddle as I forgot mine today. LOL I got on, realized that the stirrups were way to long, but I am lazy today, so I just rode in the saddle just didn't use the stirrups. Amber walked right by the spooky spot from Tuesday with out an issue today! No one was out there today, so the mounting block I use, was left in the middle of the arena. As we are coming out of the turn in one end of the arena, Amber sees the mounting block in the middle of the arena, and snorts at it, and then jumps to the side! Silly Amber, I just used that block to mount, and now you are like what is that!? Too funny. So again, like the other day, I just bent her head around to a stop. Then we walked off, just stayed to the outer part of the arena, when she relaxed I then started to circle the block, at a walk, each time getting a little closer to it. After three circles, she then was like hey, we are close to that block, jump to the side! I got her to stop, looking at it straight on, just made her stand there, she snorted, but stood there, then I asked her to take a couple of steps towards it, she did, snorted, I stopped her, stood there again looking at it, repeated that step again, we are now about 10 feet from it, I ask her to walk towards it, she did, she walked right up to it, sniffed it, then used it to scratch her face with! That took a whole of 5 min to do. We then walked off, and she was ok with it the rest of the ride. I then told her, "Ok Amber, legs are hurting time to end the ride", she then walked right over to the mounting block and stopped! Awesome! It felt great to accomplish something else with her today, only our 5th ride.Come visit me, Toby & Amber.

COME VISIT ANKA’S OWN PAGE ! It is so cold and rainy today (about 45°F) that it was good she did not get her HOTD, she is stuck in her stall because of the cold winds, rain & temperatures. Mid May it is usually very warm, more like 75-82°F . It can get cool in the summers or very hot & dry. Well, this is the coldest I have experienced it here in our area for close to 12 years! Went out to check on Sadie when I got home from work last night. She'd torn her fly mask off. It lasted 10 days. Hope to someday move away from the egg ranch. The flies are horrible. so a Horse can't win twice? I thought they only were not able to get the points twice a year but could run for and achieve horse of the day more than once a year. I wanted to nominate Allie 251864 for HOTD because she is trying to get 600 votes and I figured getting her HOTD again would help to get her to her 600 Come visit me, Pawz.

Hi Sierra, here's a vote for ya. Today was a showmanship lesson day for both the yella's. Indy did very good on his tune up. And Piage is just awesome in those 360 degree turns. She sticks that pivot foot and spins like a top! Then they got turn out time. I mowed the lawn, one pasture and half of the sides around the indoor. Supposed to rain on WEd. Hi, left a vote. Got to ride Amber today, rode her in my saddle, pad, headstall and bit. Took a pic of her in the cross ties with my saddle and pad and posted it on here. Anyway, she was a little nervous when I got on her today. Both ends of the arena were open like last time, and she went right by the spooky end from last time with out hesitation or batting an eyelash. It was the other end today that was spooky! LOL! We went sideways 3 times today, nothing I couldn't handle, didn't make me nervous, I just bent her head around in a circle until she stopped. Then we would go over to the spot, let her check it out, and then she was fine the rest of the day. I had to have tight reins at the beginning of the ride, but as she relaxed I was able to get more slack in the reins. She relaxed in about 8 minutes. Nice and calm and easy going the rest of the time. At the end of the ride, I stopped her in the spooky spot and she just stood there, no big deal, didn't move or nothing. Nice and relaxed. So proud of her, and well me too! Good ride today. Come visit me, Toby & Amber.

1393 SIERRA! Hi there Maria, how is the whole herd
Long day of work from 6 AM to 5 PM. Came home and helped our (still without his vehichle for towing) neighbor unload his horse stables manure,etc. Took only 10 minutes but getting ridiculous. I claim ANKA for mine after all the loans,LOL! A tired vote for you and please vote Anka for her HOTD! Also heard from Thailand and DARLING is doing well on his meds for his perspiration problems and enjoying his ocean rides and hosing down with carrots cut & cleaned to eat! I hope all of you moms had a beautiful Mother's Day. I had to work, but didn't mind. Being a mom and loving my sons and they loving me in return is what makes it so special. An emotional week this week. My oldest son, a Msgt in the Air Force, leaves the end of this week for 3 years in Germany. He and his oldest son celebrate their birthdays this week, too. ♥♡♥ Beautiful weekend! Whiskey and Deacon were awesome as usual! I often wonder if Deacon had an excellent rider with so much more talent to teach-how far could he go. He is so smooth and light in the mouth and he is so willing to try and do anything. I hope I am not holding him back from greatness…We BBQ’ed and just chilled other than my horsey time! I haven't been on HC in like forever!!!!!! The last two weeks have been pretty crazy...ok, really crazy! I have been doing some work for friends and trying to get everything set to move Skye to her new home. About two more weeks, and Skye will be like 5 minutes away...CAN"T WAIT!!!! We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday morning. It is almost gone now, but not very helpful to a growing grass. Sending lots of sunshine and a vote!
