Hey guys, how did your Monday go?
It finally warmed up a little, but its still windy. Yesterday I rode both Misty and Dakota, they where full of pep and lots of fun to ride. While I was riding Dakota some beef calves got out, so we chased them in, and later while I was riding Misty, the Holstein steers got out so we chased them in too, wich was a lot of fun, the horses and I get a kick out of chasing those little rascals.
I also did some ground work with Sierra.
Question of the day: If you had the chance to spend a day with a famous horseman or horsewoman of your choice, who would you choose and why?
I would probably choose Clinton Anderson, as his method seems to be very effective.

Got dumped
Got dumped TWICE yesterday! We took my neighbors dog on the ride and she went into the tall grass then came out and KC spooked. I wasn't ready for it and got dumped. I landed on my butt. I wasn't hurt just my pride. The second time the dog went in the corn then came out and KC spooked. Thankfully I landed on my feet this time. With the temperature cooler, I got to spend some time with the girls. Rick came home with hay. He called me to go out and open the gate. I was surprised to see Star standing in the front yard next to my car. I put the lead rope on her and led her back through the gate. Sadie was still inside of the fence. I checked the fence and found where Sadie had knocked it halfway down. She rubs that big itchy butt on the fence and had bent the posts over. They got brushed. Scruffy, too. He was loving the attention..... Because of the rain, the corral is slippery and messy. I let the girls stay out all day. I put them up after dark. Didn't want to risk leaving them out and something possibly happening. I took a bag of carrots out with me when I was putting them up. I had to put the lead rope back on Star to guide her in. Sadie, knowing I had the carrots, wanted them. She's a carrot junkie. I pointed toward the gate and told her to go in, and I'd give her some. She went in the corral and came back out after a few seconds. As I was leading Star in, I pointed to the gate, again, and told her to go back in, and I'd give her some carrots. She went back in and waited for me. As soon as I got Star in, I divided the carrots between them. So amazed and impressed with how well Sadie learns. I'm so blessed.
