How We Met
Lollipop was euthanized on August 23, 2012 due to founder which progressed over the past 3 years. She was 24 years old.
We purchased Lolli in 2006. She was 18 years old. She was the sweetest mare you could ever meet. Anyone could ride Lollipop, experienced rider or not. She knew if you couldn't ride...and she would take it easy with you. Lolli gave birth to a colt on June 1, 2011. She will continue to live on in her boy Ace. He is just like his mom...very good natured. Lolli will live in our hearts forever. We miss her..

Fancy and I enjoyed a cloudy evening! We were overdue for this show practice and time just hanging out. Fancy did not fret for Trigger one bit, even though Trigger screamed murder every time we got out of his sight. We are expecting rains and clouds all week. But the weekend may be nice. We will try to practice a little each day. It was so much fun! And today was the first day Fancy was ridden since her heel injury. She was great. Like she never missed a beat. I am glad I did not rush her.

Had some Sadie time today. We both need it everyday. It's getting hot here, so I didn't ride. I put the halter on her and walked her off the property. She was a little nervous, so we took it slow, stopping when she needed to to look around and see that she was okay. Neighborhood dogs were barking at us. She walked a little fast on the way back to the house. Had to keep stopping her to slow her down. She loved it. Going to walk her more often to get her use going off the property. Going to work up to riding her. Last time I rode her off the property, she was nervous and wanted to fight me. She should trust me more now. Hugs and a vote. Went out to check on Sadie when I got home from work last night. She'd torn her fly mask off. It lasted 10 days. Hope to someday move away from the egg ranch. The flies are horrible. I hope all of you moms had a beautiful Mother's Day. I had to work, but didn't mind. Being a mom and loving my sons and they loving me in return is what makes it so special. An emotional week this week. My oldest son, a Msgt in the Air Force, leaves the end of this week for 3 years in Germany. He and his oldest son celebrate their birthdays this week, too. Sassy Miss Sadie's doing good. She's keeping her fly mask on, but has torn holes in it. I dumped her water trough out to clean it and found her old fly mask in it, again. While I filled the trough with fresh water, she blew bubbles in it. So silly. Heat's hitting triple degrees next week. Time to buy another misting system. i placed some online bets on the KY derby! if "itsmyluckyday" wins, i will win big! also bet on frac daddy, giant finish, overanalyze, lines of battle and vyjack! oh, and an exacta on goldencents as first and verrazano second! surely i will win something!!! it's my first time to bet online so i hope i did it correctly. orb is the favorite and has been running and training so well everyone says he should win. Big hi to all. Jessica came out Wednesday with her boyfriend, David. Sadie was bad. While Jessica picked her hooves, Sadie yanked her back hoof away. She bucked a couple of times, too, when Jessica rode her. She did okay with me. The strap on the saddle pinched a bruise on the inside of my left knee. Shouldn't have worn shorts. Found the missing fly mask, too. Jessica and I dumped Sadie's water trough to clean it out, and there it was. It had sunk to the bottom of the trough. I didn't think to check there. Big hi. Sadie's doing well. I didn't get anytime with her Monday. I'm sure she's mad. I sent Austin's hair to Locks Of Love Monday morning. Congratulations to our April HOTM, Angel HT...... Farrier came out Monday morning. Did a wonderful job on Sadie's hooves. He said her hooves are in great shape, very healthy. Austin and I took turns riding Sadie Monday evening. What an amazing ride. Sadie was so good. She was great at neck reining, too. Not one bit of fight from her. She stopped once, when Austin was riding, but as soon as he gave her a light tap on her behind with the riding crop, she was great for him, too. Leaving a big hug and a vote. After almost 29 years of beautiful life, Tidy's day to join God has come. There is so much to say about her, but there aren't words good enough to explain everything. I'm just so thankful to have had someone like her in my life. She taught me what being an equestrian is really about. She taught me how to take a fall, how to have patience, how to work through problems, how to listen to the horse even if they don't speak the same language as we do. I will never forget her or the bond we shared. She taught me to appreciate what we have while it's still in our hands, for we can't control what comes and goes. She presented me with so many wonderful opportunities. She was a truly unique and amazing horse. I miss her dearly and hope Horsey Heaven is everything she deserves and more.
Running forever in those golden meadows...
I'll meet you there someday...
forever will she be running; wild and free.
Free for now until I return...
In God's care until we meet again.
God's angel now...
Eating golden apples, prancing around with friends, free until the day we meet again...
She grew angel wings on this day.
