How We Met

I was taking lessons with my Welsh Pony, Mouse, and my trainer was selling Duckie. He was something. He was listed for 4,000$, which in Louisiana, is a lot. Well, I always watched people ride him. I found out my TB had Ringbone, so I started leasing Duckie, to get jumping experience. He was lazy, then the next day crazy. I didn't love him. He was a good horse, but I felt we weren't right. Well, I continued leasing him for a few months. Someone was taking him on trial. Right then I knew I needed him, him looking back at me walking towards the trailer. He was gone. I hated myself for not seeing through his mistakes. I loved Lonesome Duck. And I had to say goodbye. Well. A few days later my trainer got a call. They don't want Duckie, because they think he has Foundered. Which is completely not true. He has Fever Rings from having a extreme fever when he was a colt, and was at the vet for a week. So the day they called, we went and got him. He was skinny. Way skinny. They didn't feed him. My poor baby. But I talked to my parents. He is mine now..
