FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS: “A mother understands what a child does not say” (unknown)
Are you finally enjoying spring? We went out of town last night to help a friend. It was soo late when we returned I had to call it a night. Fancy is ready for fun. She lets me know she wants an outing by neighing to me when I go outside for any reason. I tried to get some help taking the cart out, but no help just yet. I am giving my mom flowers for Mother's Day, perennials that will come back for her to enjoy. She seemed to be happy about that. I am tired of being still and I am ready to get creative. LOL.

we would love your support, please
Before I bought Sterl May(read her how we met story please),I used to lease a solid bred paint mare, at a local boarding stable not far from home. Her name was Fool Kat, I leased because as an adult getting back into riding, I wanted to be sure before I bought my own horse. The barn owners thought that I should buy a foal and raise it up. One of the other riders at the barn heard this and she said she knew of someone that had a horse for sale for not too much $$$ she mostly wanted a good home for this horse. The only thing was, she was a STANDARDBRED, that didn't mean anything to me. I went to meet her, and I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked into her paddock, she tuRned to look at me, THOSE EYES, THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES, she still has those beautiful eyes, thanks for your support, we left a vote too. Hi Twilight! So sorry it's been so long since I was online! I should be able to get online more now that tax season is over. Last week tax season ended, but my kitty also got really sick and ending up passing away on 4/20/13 so it's been a pretty tough week :( can't wait to get to talking with my HC friends again! I went to visit Lucky today at the trainer's. I hadn't talked to the trainer since we dropped him off last Monday. I wanted to give him a chance to get to work with Lucky and see how things went. He said that he is doing good. He was surprised that he knew a lot more than he thought. He said that he likes him and that we were right...Lucky has no bad habits. He feels like he will make a really nice horse for me. In a couple of weeks he will let me ride Lucky and he will show me what I need to do. I was happy to see my Lucky boy...I fed him some carrots. I am so happy to be able to blog and vote! Saturday I got my job list caught up and the brace is helping with the swelling, pain, & numbness. I have missed interacting with you all. I will blog and vote often as I can depending on my physical situation.
Saturday afternoon we went to the farm to take pics of my brothers and their friend as they rode out. I rode Buttercup in the field, well, my brother lead me on her. When he got her she did not like anyone. Now, she knows who he is and she only wants to listen to him! I could not ride her without him leading her. I did not want to get into a tussle with her either because my wrist are weak. I did enjoy the short ride in the field though!!!
Fancy's wound continues to improve. I was afraid to let her get her kicks out, but I let her out for a while Friday. She ran! Bucked, kicked, & ran more! There was NO limping, no swelling, no bleeding. I did put some bell boots on her before I let her out. Does any one know if it is ok to allow her to wear bell boots all day or night? I took them off when I put her back in the stall. The bell boots covers that wound so I think they will help if I leave her out. I don't know anything about bell boots because I have never used them.
If you saw our last video, don't worry, Fancy was not in any danger. Fancy has been goin up them stairs since she was 10 months old. When we go there more often she walks up them better than I do. They are in the park and there is grass on both sides. I never let her walk down. I think the pool noodle getting under her leg made her feel funny because the first time she was unsure. After I

Sorry I haven't been on lately my computer wouldn't let me get on the HC and been busy with Twilight you know show season busy busy. Ugh don't even get me on with homework and the CRCT( A test we have to take to see if we make it into another grade) this is like the only time I get a break. I still haven't heard from the 2nd Farrier. The first one sent me a text message, this morning, saying he'd be back from Texas next Saturday and would be out to do Sadie's hooves on Monday. ☆★☆ Good Sunday morning! Hugs and a vote… 26 MPG winds! 44 degree’s but wind chill is 34. That is cold to us but compared to you folks in northern states it probably sounds warm-lol. I apologize for being a cry baby yesterday! I will get my” tech” stuff taken care of and I have a plan!!!
Yesterday made Deacon & I’s 6th anniversary together! It was cloudy after work but no winds and I did have to wear a jacket but it was pleasant outside so I haltered up each horse one at a time and took them to this spot that is about an 8’ by 12’ area that has a lot of green grass growing. It needed mowed so each horse got 5 minutes to eat! They were in HEAVEN!!!! Then I rode Deacon bareback with just his halter to celebrate our anniversary together. We walked, then trot and I backed him and side passed both directions. I repeated this about 3 times and then he gave me his famous kisses and I hugged him and turned him loose…he is such a smooth ride! Have a great day ♥

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Ace is doing fine after his surgery (castration). All their coggins test came back negative. They all ate carrots in honor of the birthday boy and girl. Lucky is getting a big surprise birthday gift...he is going back to school! Not sure if he will like it...lol. We found a new trainer to send him to. One that can put a finish on him. He has some reining horses he's trained for shows. We bring Lucky on Monday and he will be gone for 30 days. Wish my Lucky boy good luck! Leaving a vote for ya. Thank you all for the condolences on Austin's friend's suicide. It's been rough on all who knew him. So sad that someone's life can get to that point and end up doing something so desperate. A young life lost, only 17. This will never make sense. So thankful that Austin is a strong young man and that we have a close relationship. We're always there for each other. Take care of yourself. When Austin got home from school Monday, I asked how his day went. He replied somber. Said he wouldn't be needing the extra lunch he took to school everyday. His friend, Eric, who he shared with, committed suicide last Monday during spring break. I didn't know Eric, but felt I did through Austin. We're both having a hard time dealing with it. Austin more than me, of course. He said Eric was talented, funny and had a lot of potential. Heartbreaking. Saying a prayer for his family and all who've been hurt by this. Leaving a hug and a vote. ☆ Good Monday afternoon! I had a horsey filled weekend, how about you? I would love to hear all about it! Saturday I took Deacon and hauled out to our favorite place, “McCown Valley Lake Whitney “. There were so many people there. A lot were camped out with their horses competing in trail obstacles. There were judges staked out at different areas so they could perform maneuver’s to get points. Anyway, me and the crew I was with took back ways that no one else really knows about. Deacon was a ball of energy the 1st hour and after that he smoothed on out to his perfect self for the rest of the day! Sunday I got out Whiskey. I groomed him and broke out the clippers. He usually does not like the clippers but I worked with his legs and moved on up and got him use to it first. He sure looked pretty after I removed all the hair around his face! We rode there around the house for about an hour. Yes I groomed Rocket as well. No I didn’t clip him nor did I ride him. I did work from the ground with him. I lunged him at a walk, then trot, and worked on backing. He was such a good boy. You can tell he wants to learn and do well…have a great day!!

It is nice and sunny today but only 15*. Earlier this morning I rode Misty and ponied Sierra for about an hour. Sierra was a bit fiesty at first but Misty was very patient with her and eventually she settled down. I am hoping to get a ride on Cherokee later.

Sadie's doing good. Scruffy keeps her company, whether she wants him to or not. Since he's the only dog, and she's the only horse, he's bonded with her. He likes to sleep on her hay close to the corral. I don't think the feelings are mutual. He seems to get on her nerves when he barks for her to chase him. Busy night at work. Love and a tired vote. We are pretty busy at work gearing up for Easter, it isn't a real big Turkey Holiday, but we still put in the OT.
