HI, here is a good night Vote. I will read my blogs soon to see what is going on with you. Still raining here like every other day and some days it rains for two days in a row.
When I took Trigger to the vet last week, as I turned onto another street, I heard something sliding off the trailer that sounded like a chain. I could not remember what I had left on the trailer, and I could not find what ever it was when I returned. One day I will look for something and know that was the item that I lost that day. One day I rode an hour out and found a roll of tape still laying on the trailer. A few months ago, my house keys fell off onto a busy street. I did find the keys, but had to replace most of them because they were mangled beyond use. I keep losing things off the trailer. I gotta stop leaving things on the wheel hubs, they are not safe for keeping things. I told myself to start putting the things in the truck bed instead. Hope I can remember to do that.
My weekend was wonderful, I attended the chicken stock first. this lady gave Cowboy a 4 week old Guinea pig. We had to go Guinea pig shopping for food, hay, etc. We were there half the day, then went to the Horselover's Day an hour away. I was kind of tired during the drive. I almost fell asleep. I felt better when I got out of the truck. Cowboy and I met lots of people and some horses. Cowboy was known as the boy with the Guinea pig on a leash.
We got home late Saturday evening, then I had to prepare some things for our horse club meeting, which was today. A nice lady presented a Parelli demonstration tonight!
I am in the process of cleaning and gathering all the items for the family day I am hosting next weekend. I made horseshoe picture frames and looks like things are coming together.
Cowboy's baseball game was postponed due to rain, and VBS began Monday evening. VBS runs till Friday night. I usually begin to ride after VBS week is over. I am so ready. I need some good ole relaxing Fancy time.

She's just lovely! I used to drive past the Colfax exit en route from Wisconsin to Minnesota, and we always thought of 'Colfax Castle' -- Count Dracula's home in the story.
I am glad to have a much nicer connection with Colfax now! Chilly winters around there but I am sure your horses are sturdy and can take the cold.

The cool rains continue to soak the land. Events are rescheduled. We continue our daily activities come rain or shine. I enjoy the time I take to hand graze Fancy while Trigger eats his grain in peace.
Have you ever seen a horse eat poison ivy? I couldn't believe Fancy ate poison ivy. Just thinking of it makes my belly feel queasy. Ugghhh!

we would love your support, please
Before I bought Sterl May(read her how we met story please),I used to lease a solid bred paint mare, at a local boarding stable not far from home. Her name was Fool Kat, I leased because as an adult getting back into riding, I wanted to be sure before I bought my own horse. The barn owners thought that I should buy a foal and raise it up. One of the other riders at the barn heard this and she said she knew of someone that had a horse for sale for not too much $$$ she mostly wanted a good home for this horse. The only thing was, she was a STANDARDBRED, that didn't mean anything to me. I went to meet her, and I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked into her paddock, she tuRned to look at me, THOSE EYES, THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES, she still has those beautiful eyes, thanks for your support, we left a vote too. Because my oldest son is now on his return trip to Afghanistan, it was real sweet to see Cowboy smile when I showed him his HOTD yesterday. Again, THANKS! Oh, I finally got photos from his visit added to Fancy’s page.
It has certainly been a lovely Carolina day! After church we ate and headed out for the day. I took care of Fancy & Trigger. Since Fancy can not go out I went for a bike ride. Fancy became very upset as she watched us leave. I was afraid she was going to hurt herself trying to get out. She remembers our walks! That made me feel bad to leave her. Since we have more daylight now, Fancy will have her walks soon. We don’t have to ride. I love taking walks with her. But there is no way I can handle Fancy and my bike at the same time.
I look forward to reading about your weekend. Do you have any fresh new horsey plans since the days are longer and the sun is shining stronger?

Leaving you a very cold morning vote. Most of my girls ride in a halter, and I know what you mean about getting her to trust you, rather than staying in the herd. I usually ride from the pen to the pastures, (summer) each morning, as I take the horses out for the day.
