Hi, left a vote. I posted a couple of pics from yesterday of Amber. She had been in her stall without any turnout for 4 days! I turned her loose in the arena yesterday, and of course she ran around and rolled a lot! I stayed in the arena with her the entire time, just stood in the middle of it. I just let her be a horse, just running around and snorting, rolling, that kind of stuff. She finally relaxed about 20 to 25 minutes in the arena. I then walked up to her, and gave her some love and talked to her. I then walked off, she came with me, no lead rope, just her walking next to me. When I stopped, she stopped. There were two poles set up at the other end of the arena. She didn't go near those poles when she was running around. So, of course, I am going to try to get her down to those poles. So, since she is walking with me, I start heading towards one of those poles. We would walk a little bit, then stop, then walk, then stop, kind of thing. All was going well, we were half way there, when we both could hear the horses outside running! She looked at me, I said "go on, go see what is up", she took three steps to the side and away from me, and then she took off running. She checked it out, and then came back to me. Then I started heading to the pole. We did it! Got her to walk up to the pole, she sniffed it, and then just stood there with me. It was great! I also paid her off yesterday, and she will be coming home tomorrow evening! Can hardly wait! Come visit me, Toby & Amber.

GOOD MORNING, here it is day 16 already. WE LEFT A VOTE FOR YOU, and a big thanks for the wonderful support. Being a pretty new horse owner, I had sort of thought once I get the first year under my belt, I'd be good to go....Silly me, aren't we ALWAYS learning from them. One thing is for sure, if all horses were like STERL MAY, everyone would have a horse. By now she is pretty much the "sweetheart" of the barn. The owners loved her 'cause she was easy to handle, never caused a fuss and I was there regularly(every chance I had). One morning, Sterl was in the aisle cross ties, I was grooming her and Margaret was touring a new prospective boarder, they got to us and Margaret says "this is Sterl May, she is Standardbred, this horse jumps" as they walked past, I heard the guy say "nice butt!!!" we would love your support, please
So, now Sterl May is safely at the boarding barn, life is good. I HAVE MY OWN HORSE, I had to tell you all about Sonya because I never would have made it thru the training and frustration without her. It did not take long to see that Sterly knew NOTHING about being ridden, she had had someone on her back a handful of times, but trained she wasn't. She had no bend, no flexibility, she had no idea what aids were, her head was straight up and out, when she was confused which was often, she paced. That was her comfort zone. But, none of that mattered to me, she was mine, we would learn together. As lucky as I was to have Sonya, Sterly was lucky to have Doolie(Sonya's horse) his stall was across the aisle from her. And of course, when I rode, especially at first Sonya was always there. Sterly had this huge crush on Doolie and once in the arena, she would follow him anywhere. I kept Fool Kat for those times when nothing went right and I just wanted to ride and noT really work SO HARD at it. We started lessons with Sonya's coach, in the beginning it wasn't pretty, but like I said, we were both learning together. Here's a vote from Buddy! Hey everyone, just a little update. My trip to the horse expo was awesome, there was so much to look at and watch I had no idea where to start! I got some free samples of stuff for Buddy and some other information on some things and even entered a few draws. I so want to go to the one thats in Chilliwack in October! Haven't had much time to update Buddy's website lately so maybe I'll do that today, I've been kind of neglecting it, but today I'm just sitting around on the couch with my dog watching it rain/snow outside so today seems like the perfect day! Back to work tomorrow and hopefully I'll get paid tomorrow or wednesday as well. It's supposed to warm up here by wednesday I believe so I can't wait! Hope everyone has a good week.

☆★☆ Good Sunday morning! Hugs and a vote… 26 MPG winds! 44 degree’s but wind chill is 34. That is cold to us but compared to you folks in northern states it probably sounds warm-lol. I apologize for being a cry baby yesterday! I will get my” tech” stuff taken care of and I have a plan!!!
Yesterday made Deacon & I’s 6th anniversary together! It was cloudy after work but no winds and I did have to wear a jacket but it was pleasant outside so I haltered up each horse one at a time and took them to this spot that is about an 8’ by 12’ area that has a lot of green grass growing. It needed mowed so each horse got 5 minutes to eat! They were in HEAVEN!!!! Then I rode Deacon bareback with just his halter to celebrate our anniversary together. We walked, then trot and I backed him and side passed both directions. I repeated this about 3 times and then he gave me his famous kisses and I hugged him and turned him loose…he is such a smooth ride! Have a great day ♥

Hey,
How are you doing?
Sorry I haven’t been on as much as planned. I have been super busy with school and training Mac. This spring we will be competing in 1st level dressage which is new to both of us and have been working super hard.
