Hi, left a vote, I'm grabbing a couple of minutes to send a quick blog. It has been a fast and furious week. Thank goodness I have David, he has been a life saver this week. What with work and physio and Charlie. Yes, the boy has an issue, Sunday night when I brought them in for supper, Charlie ate his bucket, but when he started into his hay, he was having trouble chewing it, he spit out big rolls, he wanted to eat but was really having a tough time. He had no temp and his attitude was good, so I made a judgement call and did not call Dr. Cook Sunday evening, but Monday AM, it was the same thing, he ate his bucket no problem, but could not eat his hay, Dr. Cook came and checked him out, with David, I HAD to go to work, He adjusted his teeth and said to give him a couple of days, call if it did not improve, it did not improve, it was painful to watch him try to chew his hay. He did not want wet hay or wet hay cubes, but he had no problem eating lots of wet bucket mash. I worried about colic 'cause he wasn't getting enough to eat. So yesterday Dr. Cook suggested that we may be dealing with a cracked or broken tooth, he put him on a few days of Bute, after one dose, I saw improvement, I'm not sure what we do with a broken tooth. I'm just happy that he is eating, drinking pooping and peeing. I want to thank you all for supporting my page for Mackie. I felt a bit uncomfortable doing it, because none of you knew him. He was a very special horse, it means a lot to me to have your support for him. One more wild turkey day, then I'm off until next Thursday, can't wait.
