How We Met

My dad took me to my Grandma's house Christmas Day to open the gifts there. Then I read a card from him that said, "Your other gifts are at the farm." I just thought "okay?" We got in the car and drove to the farm. We visited with everyone for awhile. Then, he handed me a gift and turned the video camera on me. I saw a horse on it (Jewel). All I thought was "oh, pretty horse!" I opened the gift and it was a black cowboy hat. I thought it went with the theme (A horse picture and a hat). Now he says to me, "Go out to the barn." So we all walked out to the barn. I opened the door and there was the same horse from the picture. I asked if she was mine and he nodded. My jaw dropped, my wildest dream finally came true! I was so happy, my mouth was open for five minutes straight. Then, I cried and hugged him. In a very squeaky voice I told him, "Thank you!" A very happy and emotional day! :).
