Before I bought Sterl May(read her how we met story please),I used to lease a solid bred paint mare, at a local boarding stable not far from home. Her name was Fool Kat, I leased because as an adult getting back into riding, I wanted to be sure before I bought my own horse. The barn owners thought that I should buy a foal and raise it up. One of the other riders at the barn heard this and she said she knew of someone that had a horse for sale for not too much $$$ she mostly wanted a good home for this horse. The only thing was, she was a STANDARDBRED, that didn't mean anything to me. I went to meet her, and I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked into her paddock, she tuRned to look at me, THOSE EYES, THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES, she still has those beautiful eyes, thanks for your support, we left a vote too. i received a call wednesday from a local show barn. they are holding their first intercollegiate competition and were in need of more horses for the riders to compete with. the riders don't ride their own horses, they have to meet and compete on a horse they've never met. they wanted me to loan some horses. i declined since mine only get ridden lightly once or twice a week, at best, and are not fit enough for a competition. i had hoped to go watch but was too tired yesterday. ♡♥♡ I think all my HC friends should move to Texas-it’s much warmer and we could all forget that silly ice, snow and below 0 temps!!!
I will try and get another picture of Whiskey boy bowing while I am off this next 2 weeks! Hoping for riding time and to get some rest. Have a wonderful Sunday!

i'm worn out from lessons, but in a good way! :)
had a family sign up their 2 daughters to ride together. i'll lead one on godiva while i teach the other one riding princeton. they paid for february so that gives me 9 students! drove godiva in the cart yesterday. practiced figure 8's and circles. no riding yet today.Come visit me, Sing & Herd.
