How We Met
My Best Friend & I just came into these horses life's, We are working on getting them back into working shape ((Shoe trims, Getting the Mudd & Muck off of them)) Biggen is the Gelding and Nibbler is the Mare. They where just big lap poines, Getting treats like crazy and just being loved on. Hence the name Nibbler lol We have been working with them for a week now and we are falling in love. We have them to ground tie, be fully groomed and we are working on the feet now.. Biggen is good with his feet. Nibbler is another story but still a Working progress. :D.

How are you doing?
Sorry I haven’t been on as much as planned. I have been super busy with school and training Mac. This spring we will be competing in 1st level dressage which is new to both of us and have been working super hard.

Today is the last day for the next week that I will be able to leave normal daily blogs and votes for a few days. My oldest son is visiting from Kabul. We pick him up at the airport Sunday!!! Today is his 31st birthday! We will be out cramming all we can into a few days. I will not have much computer time. I will try to vote contest each day and I will try to help with the newsletter on Thursday.

I spent the weekend in Green Bay, Wis. It was so much fun, and I got to go to a tack store too! I didn't get anything for Skye, but did find a really nice pair of winter riding gloves. I hope I get to use them soon!!! I also got some more stuff for Skye's scrapbook.

I just discovered that they put a riding helmet as one of the gifts you can redeem for Horse Channel points! I was going to buy a new one soon, because my current one is banged up, but now I won't have to because I've almost got enough points to redeem for it. I really want that helmet.

Left a vote today, I HATE shopping, believe it or not. But I found some horse stuff on a "for sale channel" this young lady is going off to university and she is selling her things. I got 2 dressage pads, one black with gold trim and one apple green, I just love it. It takes me a few hours after the roll in the mud to brush out ours too!
♡♥♡ Hello & A Whinny to you all! Feels great to blog from a computer after using my phone for 2 weeks…The main part of my vacation was to rest and have plenty of horsey time and I surely accomplished that. If I was not able to ride I had grooming/spa time for them. Each morning I fed in day light instead of dark like I have to do when I’m working. Each day no matter the weather I spent at least an hour at the evening feeding time just watching/listening to them eat as the sun would set. I did get to ride at Lake Whitney (McCown Valley) and my friend took a picture of me and Deacon but it didn’t turn out so well. I will get it added to my pictures later. I mostly rode around my home area, I have so much land around me that I can ride for hours. Another horsey item on the very windy and cold days was watching RFD from 10 am to 1 pm and caught up on the horse programs I love so much!!! I learn a little bit from all of the trainers!!!! For that matter I learn something from any horse person I run into or have the pleasure of riding with! I won’t bore you with others things not related to horses so have a wonderful weekend!!!

Phar Lap
The monstrous New Zealand-bred Phar Lap (“lightning” in Thai) raced mainly in Australia, winning 37 times in 51 races and setting 8 track records.
Phar Lap was a staggering 17.1 hands and his heart weighed 13.7 lbs, compared to the average weight of 9 lbs.
Phar Lap was invited to the $50 000 Agua Caliente Handicap in Mexico. Racing on dirt for the first time against some of America’s best horses, Phar Lap set a new record winning time.
Phar Lap died suddenly after becoming ill. A plot to kill him was suspected, but never proven.

MAJOR WINTER STORM IN ONTARIO, so bad, I took a snow day, At 4:30 this morning I asked David to check the highway to see if I could make it or would he drive me into work. After he went up to the highway he came back and said, you are not going anywhere...final. I had a snow day in 1994, I remember because we watche the winter olympics, Tonya Harding's famous skate lace event, anyone remember that. So today I will just chill and spent some quite time with the guys. I have to work tomorrow, if David gets snow moved so I can get out. So far so good...the weather is still beautiful! We are expecting rain, but hopefully it won't be much. The farrier came today and the herd had their hooves done. They were all good boys and girls. I gave them carrots for a treat. They were all groomed and now look beautiful. I enjoyed my day with the herd! Hope you have a great day tomorrow. I woke up this morning and it had snowed several inches during the night, and it's not too cold out, so that means it's time to saddle up! I love riding in the snow. Now if only my little car will be able to navigate the slippery roads out to the boarding stable LOL!
I'm hoping to meet with some friends to ride with today. And of course, I will take pictures (I always do hahaha!)

Royal Mes and Sterl May realized my state before I did. It was after 5pm last night when I realized it was Thursday not Monday yesterday. I thought that was funny.
I am sorry to say I am not feeling better today. I don't know what happened. My job is based on me talking, I tried to work this morning and the more I talk, the less voice I had along with the congestion and headache. I had to reschedule my job for Saturday if my voice will work. I also had to cancel out on horse club activities this Saturday! That is the worst part. But I look forward to fun with the horseclub when it gets warmer. I have been in bed most of today. I am sitting up now. My eyes are watering and I still have the congestion. I will be on meds when I finish my blogs this evening. There is a chance I will not be online much this weekend. I have to fight this horrible cold off. I hardly ever have this much trouble fighting a cold. You have a beautiful weekend and stay Healthy!!!!!!
