♥ I had a really nice day off that included horsey time. I saddled Deacon and rode for a few hours there on the property around our home. When we got back I bathed him from ears to hoofs! I really did the works; he looked so beautiful after his bath. I have a question for my HC friends: how do you wash your horses face? Do you use shampoo, or just water? I was just wondering because I use a wet towel with no shampoo. I do let the hose run on their forelock and I use my fingers to loosen dirt then I wipe the rest of their face & muzzle with a wet towel. ★ My friend Gail called me around 8:30 am yesterday and asked if I wanted to go to Reynolds Creek at Lake Waco and ride and of course I said YES! She lives 12 miles from me so I loaded up Whiskey and went to her house. Then loaded in her trailer and we had the best time! The blue bonnets are out and blooming and the grass and trails were beautiful!

We rode Mccown Lake Whitney~even the day of rain you can ride there because the trails and ground has good drainage and the trails are sandy. ♡♥♡ What a wonderful ride I had with my son and a few friends I haven’t seen in a while! It was just right temps and sunny. What else can I say except it was FABULIOUS!!!!! A whinny & a click on your horseshoe! Come visit me, ♥ Whiskey ♥ & ♥ Deacon ♥.

♥ Congratulations to Angel HT on his victory making April 2013 HOTM!!!! We did get our pasture seeded Friday but the Coop closed at 3:00 and we did not get the fertilizer. It rained early Saturday morning so that was great. We will pick up and fertilize after work one day this week. Had friends over Saturday and we BBQ on the grill and visited. I did get to brush and curry the horses but did not ride. My son & grandson came over Easter Sunday that was wonderful. My friend Gail and I will haul out Friday to Reynolds Creek at Lake Waco to have an all-day ride and picnic.

HI!!! Here is a Happy Easter vote for you!
I am so happy to be able to blog and vote! Saturday I got my job list caught up and the brace is helping with the swelling, pain, & numbness. I have missed interacting with you all. I will blog and vote often as I can depending on my physical situation.
Saturday afternoon we went to the farm to take pics of my brothers and their friend as they rode out. I rode Buttercup in the field, well, my brother lead me on her. When he got her she did not like anyone. Now, she knows who he is and she only wants to listen to him! I could not ride her without him leading her. I did not want to get into a tussle with her either because my wrist are weak. I did enjoy the short ride in the field though!!!
Fancy's wound continues to improve. I was afraid to let her get her kicks out, but I let her out for a while Friday. She ran! Bucked, kicked, & ran more! There was NO limping, no swelling, no bleeding. I did put some bell boots on her before I let her out. Does any one know if it is ok to allow her to wear bell boots all day or night? I took them off when I put her back in the stall. The bell boots covers that wound so I think they will help if I leave her out. I don't know anything about bell boots because I have never used them.
If you saw our last video, don't worry, Fancy was not in any danger. Fancy has been goin up them stairs since she was 10 months old. When we go there more often she walks up them better than I do. They are in the park and there is grass on both sides. I never let her walk down. I think the pool noodle getting under her leg made her feel funny because the first time she was unsure. After I
