Nicknames: Western Riders 4 Helmets would like to make it known to everyone that we need helmets too!Just becasue our saddles are more comfortable does not mean we should ignore helmet use!Anything can happen,even on the besthorse,or with the best riding skills!

My Horse's Achievements: Not all helmets are expensive,and they more than pay for themselves when they save you from serious injury!Troxel makes great,affordabl- e helmets,such as the Sport,which is lightweight and comfortable-you barely notice you're wearing it!
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Seeing a Western rider wearing a helmet!
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: A helmet's favorite thing to do is protect its rider's head from injury!
Pet Peeves: Gets very annoyed when they see riders they know w/o a helmet!!

well at least he went peacefully. and ha thats cool i rode today too! it was around 55, which is REALLY warm for this time of year, Bell liked it. it was like the perfect summer day, a little on the cooler side, but hey im not complaining!:) im glad you enjoyed your ride! hey you could just email me (only if your okay with that) its allygb99@gmail.com it might be easier than posting on each others pages, haha.Come visit me, Bell.

oh my gosh thats soo sad! at least you have her a good rest of life. i rescued my horsey too! i love those names, Skip and Blaze,. and awww thats sweet. i had a chicken who did that, haha. right, thats nice that she got to, but im sorry for you loss:( and ohhh im soo sorry!! thats awful..Come visit me, Bell.

Helmets are a good investment!
I don't know why ANYONE would get on a horse without a helmet. Not wearing a helmet for the sake of not being laughed at a show is just insane to me. Being a good rider doesn't mean you won't ever fall...horses fall to.

i understand the need for helmets, my horse bucks, and crow hops, but i have learned to stay on, ha. just clench that saddle home. i was raised where just english riders wore helmets. i understand why people wear them and such, i just choose not to, all the times i have been thrown off/fell off i have never once hunt my head, just a little scraped up. and even if i was wearing one, it wouldn't have helped. i have hurt my arms soo many times, but never my head. yes my horse has kicked me, in the side.Come visit me, Bell.

Lesson=Riding=Helmet!
I had a riding lesson tonight on a horse that I am getting soon...and of course,I was wearing my helmet!!My/Our instructor likes to do a little bit of everything...tonight,we began jumping practice...my lower back was SCREAMING from the two-pointing we had to do...the whole lesson...two-point,sit,two-point sit!!I need to do some heavy lifting and squats to get into shape!!Good thing next week we will alternate and go back to Western stuff...barrels,poles,side-passing,etc...even though English riding definately has side-passing as well!!LOL!!Any way,have a horsey and safe day tomorrow and everyday!!Come visit me, Melvin ~ R.I.P, Western Riders 4 Helmets, DT Kings Way Lyn, Blaze, Lady & Kisses.

We ride hunt seat and helmets have always been part of our equipment. I''ve often watched the western riders and thought that they would be better off trading the cowboy hat for a helmet.
