How We Met

Spirit Wind Horse Rescue found Commanche and four other horses starving up at someone's house who decided not to feed any of them. They were all rescued, and a friend and I decided to train some of the horses for SWHR. We chose Commanche, who was named Taylor at the time, as our first horse to train, as he came running from across the field to meet us. We trained him from the beginning, and when his training was up, I just couldn't let him be adopted to someone else, where I might never see him again.
