How We Met

Buddy was the first horse I ever had. I had always been in love with horses since I was small. I had always dreamed of getting my own. Well, we finally moved to a big house that had a barn and horse stalls and a very big field. So, that year, about 2 months after my birthday I went to get my horse :) I saw him in the field as we pulled up. I read all about Buddy and was super excited. He walked right up to me and I fell in love wiht him. I have to say Buddy was the best horse I'll ever own. I would go out and talk to him all the time and he would flick his ears and move his feet when I asked quesitons :) When riding him I always rode bareback. I would lay on his back and he would walk our normal path, I never had to use the bridle much. You could put a small child on him and he would never take off or run or anything. A grown would get on and depending on how experienced they were he would do more :) When I got run over by another horse we had they brought him to me up by the house and I could sit on him and lay on him and talk and he would stay still never moving. He was a very old horse but the very best. I was awoken one day by my dad who was crying and upset. He said something was wrong with buddy. People were out there all day with him trying to fix him but even the vet didn't know what to do. They said he should have died sooner but he would not go until I came to say goodbye. I went out there when everyone was gone and sat with his head on my lap and just talked to him like always. He passed within seconds of me leaving. I still have his old stuff with me, now and forever. I miss him so much and hope I will see him again someday..
