How We Met

Pete can be a loose cannon. As can I. He doesn't like loud noises, and is quite stand off-ish. Quite honestly...most are scared of him. But, I walked out into the pasture one day, looking for a project when I was going through some tough times...and here we have come to the present. It's been touch and go with him. He wouldn't stand for our ferrier when I first began...and now is one of the best (out of 14). The process of training has had to be kept very slow...but we make advances very quickly once he's got figured out what I'm asking of him! Anytime I'm under his feet, behind his rear, giving him a hug...he's nothing but gentle...with ME! Others, he's a bit testy to...I just absolutely adore him. He's a heart horse...he'll be with me till the day one of us goes!.

Trigger will stand beside the stall gate to be near Fancy. He went to stand there while she was eating her grain and she tried to kick him. She seems to get angry when he is eating hay and she can't stop him. I can just tell what she is thinking. She wants to boss him around so bad! Trigger has the chance to not be beat up and bossed around but, when I tie Fancy out to clean her stall, Trigger stands right at her hip and sniffs her botty. He must be some kind of crazy!
