How We Met

A little over a year ago, my parents and I agreed that it was finally time to get my own horse.  I had been leasing different horses for three years, and we were ready to take the next step.  Smiley had been boarded at my barn and was on and off the market, but I was not ready to handle him at the time.  After looking for almost a year with many close calls and alot of heartbreak, my instructor felt that I was ready to try Smiley, thinking it might be a good match now, after another year of experience and leasing a crazy little morgan jumper with a talent for bolting.  I half leased Smiley for six months.  In those six months I showed him, trailered him to other barns, and even took a few lessons with Nancy Smith! I still shopped around, but couldn't find a horse like Smiley.  I talked with his owner, who was thrilled when I made an offer.  My dream horse had been right under my nose the entire time.  It must have been meant to be!.
